Hey, I guess we have our subtle hint that Bernard (and Rose?) are still around, just busy. And, our dentist Bernard loves Phil Collins - the perfect dentist office music!

I wonder if "I Can Feel It Coming In The Air Tonight" is on this fictitious "Best Of" tape. It would be an apt soundtrack for the mood on the Island on this particular day.

"Just another day for you and me in paradise"
"She's an easy Lover"
"In the air tonight"

Great love songs. I wonder if Kate and Sawyer played the tape while they were doing the wild thang.

How's "Paradise" a love song? Isn't it about homeless people? Great song though

The actual Cd looks pretty good, all the songs make sense except Sussido, but that one doesn't make sense anyway.

So at least we know Bernard is still alive and still on the island! We haven't heard about Rose or Bernard in so long I thought maybe they'd dropped off the face of the island!! Don't much like Phil Collins, I don't listen to him, but I don't hate him either.
Sweet and funny on Sawyer's part to get Kate that tape!! good luck finding some how to play it!

It was just too funny that the best tape Sawyer could find was Phil Collins. (I like some of his songs....) The grand LP collection has been blown to bits and I didn't notice a tape player in the hatch anyway - but what if Sawyer really could make a mix tape? What songs would he choose?

I think some of PC's lyrics are rather appropriate for the Lost mythos:

In The Air Tonight

I can feel it coming in the air tonight, Oh Lord
I've been waiting for this moment, all my life, Oh Lord
Can you feel it coming in the air tonight, Oh Lord, Oh Lord
Well, if you told me you were drowning
I would not lend a hand
I've seen your face before my friend
But I don't know if you know who I am
Well, I was there and I saw what you did
I saw it with my own two eyes
So you can wipe off the grin, I know where you've been
It's all been a pack of lies

Nothing "guilty" about loving Phil Collins! He's one of the great singer/songwriters, with a huge library of fantastic music to his credit, from Genesis to film soundtracks!

Bernard has great taste.

And yes, I do hope this puts all those time displacement theories to rest. I can't believe how long it took some people (including podcasters, who are supposed to be informed) to hear that the actor and actress who play Bernard and Rose are simply busy on other projects.

What's worse is how people actually tried to explain away all instances of Rose and Bernard still existing just to defend a theory that never had any basis in the show itself. Some even went so far and claimed the shots of Rose from "Exposé" were either production errors, or Rose might have died in the alleged new timeline. :drowsy:

Phil Collins is awesome. The first song title that came to mind when he was mentioned was "Something Happened On The Way To Heaven".

Me & my roommate at this:

Roomy: Hey, Bernard likes Phil Collins, ew.
Me: He has two ears and a heart, doesn't he?

(this joke stolen directly from Alec Baldwin's character on 30 Rock)

I actually always liked Bernard. I think Sam Anderson does a great job, as does L. Scott Caldwell, and I hope to see them again soon.

So true! Phil actually has some great songs for a romantic mix tape too, if only Kate and Sawyer had a tape player. (I'm impressed that Bernard actually has tapes in this day and age!)

Genesis also has some amazing music. Its somewhat different from Phil's better-known solo work- more progressive/ alternative-type rock. Anyone skeptical about Phil's talent should check out out songs like "Land of Confusion," "Mama," and "No son of Mine."

TPTB: Hey, everybody keeps asking what happened to Rose and Bernard. What can we do with them? Wait... I know, let's say that some minor object on the show is Bernard's and that will reassure the viewers that we haven't forgotten about them. Forget about actually creating a storyarc for them.

Let's hope that we get to see Bernard and Rose before the season finale. They have so many questions to answer and so few episodes to cover them in. How will they do it? Can it be done.

Dude, Bernard and Rose are the pimpin'est. I can't wait to see them again. All through the first season Rose was without a doubt my favorite Lostie. I'm looking forward to seeing those two again.

The best part coming up will be when Bernard pimp slaps Sawyer with a vengence and takes back his sexin music.
