Who else loved the whupping that he laid on Mikhail? I won't lie, I came up out of my chair when he dropped the spin kick on him. That was AWESOME.

Why didnt he do that to Michael way back when they had their fight ? I cant remember the whole fight scene but I dont remember any karate ?

Neat scene! But that was actually Tae Kwon Do and Hapkido that he used. I know, because they're Korean martial arts, plus I practice them.

I loved it at the same time my jaw was dropping! :jawdrop:
When did he learn those moves?? I loved how he was quietly watching everything and seemed to be absorbing most of it and then to give Mikhail the whoopin' he so richly deserved. Way to go, Jin!! :cheerleader:

JIN! JIN! JIN!

He's gonna be SO useful when the inevitable battle against the Others happens!

But this was just plain KEWL!!

heh I always thought it was weird people think that Sayid is the best fight. I think Sawyer can take Sayid, and I believe that Jin can definatly take Sayid too.

Sawyer VS Jin wouldbe an interesting bout, you kno when Sawyer doesnt kick him in the head by surprise. ^.^

Yeah, I was cheering when Jin went running after Mikhail that first time and then dove on him. I loved the Rumble in the Jungle round 2 way more than round 1 (Kate vs. Juliet). And that KICK, Daniel didn't get that Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do for nothing, he can still hit the moves, makes me want to go back to workouts again myself.

Yeah when I saw that kick I was like, 'well that'll do it'. Awesome!

I still think Jack crushing Ethan in the jungle is the best fight scene in the series.

This was such a great episode! Jin is one of the most interesting characters. I loved seeing more about his back story. He was in the army -- maybe that's where he learned TKD? This fight scene was the best in the series so far. I hope they show more Kick #$% Jin!!!!!

Yeah, I loved how it made perfect sense. I mean, it was a little stereotypical, but the fact that he was an "enforcer" for his Father-In-Law made his talent even more believable.

Good eye on the trophy.

Jin has really evolved in the series. Didn't like him at first and last night I was cheering him on. He totally kicked that Russian's butt. Mikhail is a pretty tough guy but he didn't stand a chance against the kung-fu fighting. di-di-di-di-di-di-di...and man that cat was fast as lightening. Sorry couldn't help myself.

Nice, thanks for the trophy shot!

This is my favorite Lost fight scene. I'll be rewatching this tonight.

I gotta give it to Mikhail, he almost had Jin. First, Jin rammed him in the ground from behind. Then Mikhail elbowed Jin in the face. Jin then punched him in the face and move on top of him. Mikhail blocked his punch and whopped him to the ground. They both got up. Jin tried to punch Mikhail and then Mikhail laid a whooping keg of WHOOPASS on Jin (1 knee in the stomach, 2 elbows in the face, 1 slam against a tree and some choking = SUPER!) But then Jin knocked his hands off, did a nice double-punch in the neck and then kicked him in the head and there you go.

A really, REALLY great fight scene! Magnificent fight choreography and it got my blood pumping real hard! Lost really does it's fight scenes well.

As for who is better... Sawyer or Jin? That was certainly extremely impressive and I feel inclined to say Jin. However, Sawyer has been really impressive in the past as well. He won a fight against Pickett, Luke and a third other in the mini-season. That was great. He also got the upper hand on Sayid in the Pilot.

Jin & Mikhail's fight was my favorite part last night. I wanna see more Jin kickin butt! Mikhail had some good moves but Jin won out, plus he managed to get the phone back as well.

While I thought the roundhouse was great stuff, I was also cringing a bit because of the stereotype. Next thing you know they'll have Michael return to the island with a boatload of watermelon. It does makes sense that the actor is a blackbelt though.

Michael = Mikhail
Jin's got a problem with that name.
Maybe a childhood bully named Mike terrorized him as a young boy.
Either that or it's just the fact that the others shot at him on several occasions, tried to steal his woman and killed a number of his fellow survivors.

Sayid in the same situation might've just shot Mikhail in the back, after initially gasping in shock first.

Great catch! I totally missed that trophy. In this cap, you can also see that he cut out his son's wedding article too.
I've been thinking about Jin's skills since the ep and wondered why it took so long for him to haul the martial arts?

That was AWESOME!

Jin needs to pass on his knowledge to the rest of the Losties, start training them in the ways of self-defense. Think Mikhail uses more Muay Thai, eblows/knee?

heh don't forget that Sawyer got the upper hand on Jin even if very cheaply that one time.

I dunno, I think it'd be a pretty close fight either way. Sawyer has shown he knows how to kick too, which I think would come in handy considering Jin's kick *** kick. Heh if Jin ever found out Sawyer was behind the sun napping then yeah, Jin no question. But on even ground? I dunno. I happen to think Sawyer though.

Of course, everyone is more impressed with a fighter right after their impressive fight. And I'm sure we're going to see Sawyer fight again pretty soon, so we'll have to wait and see.

I do happen to think that Jin could take Sayid tho...and Jack? *muffled laughter* hahahahah, definitely.

Yeah, but no one can take Judo-Juliet! She went from having Kate's full-swing pool stick being a foot away from her head, with a tray of food in her hands, to having Kate on the ground in about 30 nanoseconds! I think besides its healing properties, the island instills martial arts skills!

For some reason, I never laughed so hard as when Jin was telling a ghost story. Cracked me up (probably because he looks like Quagmire).

But the fight scene was definitely just what I needed. From the very first episode, I knew Jin was one bad dude, second only to Eko. I mean c'mon, he made his living as a henchman, kicking butt, and probably killing a few people along the way. I was totally expecting him to snap Mikail's neck after he had him in the headlock. Haha, when Mikail started fighting back, I started screaming "NO, don't do that to my boy!"

As for Sayiid, I personally think everyone on the island (including Rose), could take him. Take a look at him physically, he's like 5'5" and 135lbs (gotta be close), he's a toothpick. Kate has bigger guns. He just carrys a big stick (attitude)

Go Jin.

I totally agree. I always thought that Jin was very underused by the main island group. I guess because of the communication gap, its been easy for them to underestimate him. Still, I thought he would have been very useful in all those island treks. Sun tried to warn folks that Jin could be dangerous, remember when she slapped Michael she said that is wasn't to protect herself, but to protect Michael from Jin.

I agree that no one tops Eko as the toughest mamma-jamma ever on the island. I mean, that guy killed two others with is bare hands! And I laughed so hard when Locke tried to destroy the hatch computer with all his might using the Jesus stick back in LTDA. Eko stopped his swing mid-air like it was nothing. Made Locke look like a total baby. (Adewale was my favorite actor on the show. I hope he can guest star one day 'cause I loved ALL the Eko-Locke interactions.)

As for the whole Sawyer vs. Jin thing, remember Sawyer got his butt whooped by Hurley that time he called him crazy, and Jin had to pull Hurley off. That was one of the funniest lost moments ever.

As for Jin having been in the army, don't forget that Korea has a mandatory military service period for all the men :) It was good to see him kick some ***. Hell, if a fertility doctor can be half Ninja, why can't Jin drop a roundhouse kick on Mikhail's noggin?

LOVED IT. I've been saying for ages that Jin would kick some serious ***. He is in great shape and is from Korea. Pow

Man I loved Jin in this ep. The tak-kwon-do was sweet. but I was really impressed with his character during the flashback. The scene where he tells Sun to return the money, that he wants to take care of her made me want to cry. Jin used to be, and in a way still is such a sweet guy.

I thought it was also worth noting that he was apparently in the Army. Before we thought that Sayid, and now Des, were the only miliatary people. Maybe Sun wants to keep it a secret. Because if people found out they might want to make use of his experience, and take Jin out into the jungle with them on some dangerous missions.

yeah except remember that Sawyer wasnt fighting back against Hurley at all. Why? he was prolly shocked to hell that hurley of all people would attack him over a name. Sides, Jin got knocked down twice my MICHAEL! Shows how easy it is to beat someone when theyre not fighting back. heh, so it's still pretty even in my book, they both got housed.

My only real question is why Jin didn't break out his Martial arts against Eko when he had the whole stick thing.
