Does it seem like everyone of the survivors seems to keep having father issues that they were and or are dealing with?
When Sun went to her father for the money....
#1 he had the exact right amount in an envelope?
#2 a man with all his connections and money didn't already know about Jin's mother?
#3 Sun just walks aroung with 100 grand (Not Korean funds?) in her purse and forgets
about it until Jin gets in her purse.

I think the Losties were doomed before getting on the plane. :eek2:

#1 Well, he put the exact amount in an envelope...it wasn't pre-filled. I didn't find it unusual that a man in Mr. Paik's position had that much cash (and more) within his immediate reach.

#2 Mr. Kwon explained it. The woman gave birth and left the baby with him. In that remote a place, I imagine that paperwork was not filed. The only two people who knew that the woman was Jin's mother was Mr. Kwon and herself.

#3 Yeah, I found that hard to fathom as well...both that it was American money AND that she just had it stuffed in her purse.

#1 Mr. Paik counted the money from his safe and put it in the envelope. He's a mobster so he has a ton of cash on hand.

#3 I don't think she forgot about it. She was going to meet with his mother. Where else is she going to put it? Also, why do you think the money wasn't Korean Won?

On the second point brought up, I think it's totally possible that noone but Jin's mother and "father" know who his mother is. It's sad that the man that brought Jin up doesn't even know if he is his father or not. I don't see how Sun's father could possibly find out about Jin's mother if there is no record of her.
