I got the idea from the thread about the sub, and it has been rolling around my head for a while. Why is Juliet working for Ben?

Could it be that she is already pregnant? I don't know how many days its been since the plane crashed, as in if she would really be showing yet...

But perhaps she just found out she was pregnant and that was why she was crying in the mirror. And that would explain why she is working with him with the pregnancies cause it is in her own best interests to find a cure!!!

I could be totally wrong here, I just can't get a handle around why she would still be working for Ben if her only way off the island is gone (I think!!), and the communications are down so Ben can't get info out to hurt her family (I think!!) so I just was wondering why else she might be helping him...

but I just thought I would throw that out to see what you guys thought...

She could be preggers since she slept with Goodwin. I think the writers showed us that bedroom scene with Goodwin so that people would suspect she is preggers. The crash was 90 days ago so she would be about three months pregnant and going into the second trimester. People don't start showing until about the 5th month.

Good point! Juliet could indeed be pregnant. As far as her continuing to work for Ben after the sub has been destroyed, (?), I think he has manipulated her so much that he has her brainwashed into just doing his bidding. She could fear that her lack of cooperation with Ben could still have a negative effect on her sister and nephew. I don't trust Juliet, but I don't think that she has evil motives, either. I think she is a puppet for Ben.
