Sure, I don't know where the other canadians are! Oh, and it is okay for us to talk about the episode in here without spoiler font right? I just want to be sure.

Anyway, we are seeing John's time with the Others. They seem to think he's someone very important. Then, in current time, John has taken Sawyer into the island in secret, telling him he had Ben, but its really Cooper, who Ben had wanted John to kill. John couldn't do it though. We will see what Sawyer does with it.

Desmond, Charlie etc. have parachute girl, but aren't telling Jack. They told Sayid. Good move I'd say.

okay, commercial over, but I'll be back.

After Ben tries to get Locke to kill his father, Locke is sitting on the hillside looking over the camp. Richard (the guy who recruited Juilet) sits next to him and explains that if word got out about a guy from the plane whose injured spine was now healed, they'd think he was a very special guy. Ben wouldn't want that to happen so he embarrased Locke by trying to get him to kill his father to get rid of him so he could be the man he was meant to be.

Richard says if Locke won't kill him, there's someone else that might do it and he gives him the file on Sawyer.

Man, Cooper's got guts, antagonizing Sawyer like that! He ripped up the letter and everything.

Seems Locke really does want to get on Ben's good side.

Oh no, Kate is going to tell Jack about parachutist. NO KATE NO!!!!!!! IDIOT! And Juliet is sitting right there! ARGH!!!!

what does cooper do to sawyer?

kate is an idiot! i cant believe she just walked up to jack and said, in front of juliet, that they're not telling him about the parachutist BECAUSE OF JULIET!!! who is sitting right there!!! BESIDE JACK!! and that they dont trust jack BECAUSE OF JULIET!!! WHO IS SITTING RIGHT THERE!!! beside jack!!

why?!?!

ETA: some people might not want to read this but sawyer puts the pieces together and realizes that cooper is the real sawyer. and he kills him. its quite a twisted scene.

Well, at least Locke is letting Sawyer warn the camp about Juliet.

I have a feeling this episode might revive the purgatory theories again! I hope that's not it, but I doubt that it ultimately will be. Jack and Juliet know something that they wouldn't tell Kate. Man, Jack is annoying the crap out of me. I love Juliet though.

Oh, and hello VGL! Its nice to have another Canadian to post with during the episode. :)

EDIT: about Juliet and Jack, honestly I don't trust Jack at all! I'd take Juliet before him at this point. Man, what is wrong with Kate's brain lately???

Cooper is really disrespectful, and finally ends up ripping up Sawyer's letter after Sawyer screams at him to finish it. I think that's what pushed him over the edge.

No preview. Darn.

what does cooper do to sawyer?

Sawyer strangles Cooper with a chain... pretty grusome.

But when Kate tells Jack about Naomi and the sat phone, Juliet turns and asks Jack, "Should we tell her?" and Jack says, "Not yet." ?!?!?

I don't want to say it but cooper had it coming

cooper taunts him a bit. sawyer gives him the letter, which cooper eventually just rips up. thats what drove sawyer to the limit. he jumped him and wrapped a thick chain around his neck, twisting until cooper died.

quite a horrific way to die. but in a weird twisted way, the scene was very well played.

But when Kate tells Jack about (this name is a spoiler until it is told to us in an ep) and the sat phone, Juliet turns and asks Jack, "Should we tell her?" and Jack says, "Not yet." ?!?!?

we did hear it in this episode

Cooper (aka real sawyer) con the parent of sawyer, his dad kill her mother and suicide !

So, James take the Sawyer name to remember and revenge in this episode by killing anthony cooper !

So what did everyone think about what parachute girl said about them finding the plane and the bodies... and Cooper's story. :eek2: Very interesting indeed. Of course, parachute girl could be lying, and it seems that maybe Jack and Juliet know something about her that we don't. Oh, and Jack is a jerk. I feel like he's more of a traitor than Locke. Locke is upfront about what hes doing, therefore I don't really mind.

EDIT: oh, I think there is a filter on the parachitist's name to make it into the spoiler thing, but yes, we did learn her name in this episode. I'll change it in this post though back to parachute girl.

i think jack and juliet know something which is why the "how" was so important. as for what cooper said about this being hell...i hope it isnt. but at least its not purgatory.

I'm sure the whole 'hell' thing will spark lots more wild theorizing, but I'm still thinking that somebody behind the Others faked out the crash - after all, if the wreckage was so deep they had to send down submersibles just to find it, it seems highly unlikely they would've verified any and all human remains against the passenger manifest. Cooper seemed to honestly believe that he was already dead, though - maybe that's why he felt so confident in antagonizing Sawyer?

Overall, I thought it was a really good episode, but the whole Kate/Jack/Juliet scene towards the end just made me so angry, it left a bad taste in my mouth and kind of brought the episode down a bit for me.

Josh was AMAZING in this one.

I think its more likely that the crash was faked- which leads to the question of why. Personally I hate the purgatory/ hell theories, but the fact that they're so blatantly making it seem like this might be the case tells me that it probably isn't.

Josh was AMAZING in this one.

Definitely a great performance from him. I wonder how this will change Sawyer's character. Maybe it will have the same effect on both him and Locke. They both had serious issues with the man that they couldn't move past. I wonder if this will make the difference or not.

It's an excellent character piece for Locke and Sawyer - very intense. However, there's also a lot to get the theorists going too.

Parachute-Girl, who finally says her name in this episode (hallelujah!), says they found Flight 815 in a trench in the ocean off Bali. They sent down monitoring equipment, cameras and saw all the bodies accounted for on the plane.

Also for the theorists, Cooper bites Locke on the hand at one point in a flashback. A few days later, it has completely healed... not even a scar.

Ben gets out of his wheelchair and starts walking with a cane in this episode. He tells Locke he believes it's because of him. Before Locke came, he felt nothing. As soon as Locke arrived, he started feeling pins and needles. He's implying that just being NEAR Locke has somehow helped him to heal at a rapid pace.

Sayid gets the sophisticated radio/telephone working, but something is blocking the signal.

Naomi said that they found the wreckage at the bottom of a trench off the shore of Bali (which is in Indonesia and in the Indian Ocean BTW). When Cooper was talking about how he thought that he was in hell, he said that Locke's plane crashed in the Pacific. I'm more inclined to believe Naomi, but wouldn't it be memorable if a flight from Sydney to LA crashed in the Indian Ocean?
