Throughout this entire season the bad *** kate that we all fell in love with in Season 1 and 2 has become nothing but a mere damsel in distress character whose had no purpose in this entire season except to give Sawyer forms of pleasure that his hand can't alleviate since Paulo took his magazines.

I guess I wouldn't mind as much if kate weren't being so immature about everything. Jack paying attention to somebody besides her for once? Have sex with Sawyer to try make him jealous.

Jack won't pay attention to her because Juliet actually has a personality? How about I tell him that secret that nobody in the camp wanted jack to now so he'll give me attention.

This makes me sa,d kate used to be a tragic heroine who kept strong despite all that happened to her. I understand that kate wants to be venerable, but this is just overdoing it.

Here's hoping Kate can try and act her age.

I was her #1 fan for 2.5 seasons but I've decided to get over it and move on.

Her character seems to be written now by a bunch of frat boys.
I'd rather they kill her off than keep her going like this.

It really makes me sad, her most recent role was being a tattle tell. I understand if she'd want to tell Jack about Naomi, but why would she tell him that nobody trusted him anymore? She's seriously annoying me.

Maybe time on the island is reversed..
and her mind is regressing.

I have a theory that no one likes and it's that Kate has a sort of mental handicap.

Well, I for one have never been a fan of Kate, clear back to the first episode "Pilot One". I also don't think we know the WORST thing that Kate has done in her past yet... I don't have too much hopes for Kate - she's a lost soul.

I know, didn't it seem like they were "laughing" at her? That whole scene reminded me of stuff that went down in my high school cafeteria. Many, many moons ago...

I may be totally off base here, but I think Kate did exactly what Sayid, Jin and co. wanted her to do. I don't know WHY they wanted her to go to Jack and whine....but I believe she is so annoyed with Jack that it would have been very easy for her to keep a secret from him. No, I think she did exactly what she was asked to do!

IMHO Kate is destined to die this season. Kate was given an opportunity by the Island to atone she hasn't and she will be amoung the dead buried in the sand.

Well, someone had to talk some sense into Jack. I guess Kate thought she could be the one, but he's obviously determined to act suspicious and be a complete jerk. Kate's in love with Jack, so of course she runs right to him. Everything she does has something to do with how she feels for Jack. It makes her look stupid and silly, but love often does that to people. Please writers, in season 4, give us the Kate back from season 1. This is getting ridiculous.

I also think she did it because she truly trusts him. Maybe her "tattling" will save all of their lives- I believe in Jack. Kate is going with her gut and that is not immature IMO

I don't think she wanted to suck up to Jack, I think she wanted to embarass him. She wanted to point out to him just how much he has become distrusted by the camp.

I loved the KATE character just as many of us have till the Pilot 1 to mid 2nd season. After that she was ll between Sawyer and trying to get close to Jack. Ok fine she has issues from her past. Like running away , bad childhood , a mother abandoning her so on. Lets not be so hard on her, she is acting like 15 alright but she is in a mess. In love with a man she cant have and blew the chance when she had. Also having feelings for another guy and making out with him for neeeds etc.

I really hope the TPTB ( hope I spelled right ) have something good and stronger in store for us next Season. We want a serious, tough, determined, fighter Kate in action. ( Like the old days!! ) AND LET HER BE WITH JACK FOR CRSTS SAKE :mad::biggrin:

woohoo I love this post. Kate is a person in love so she wants Jack to know what is going on and as we see KATE is the only on on this island ( other then Sayid ) that went back to save him. Who had faith in him when he was in trouble. KATE is the one who always ends up getting Jacks back and backing him up. And I really hope Jack's behaviour has something to do with " Kate not getting hurt or close to caos with Others " cause that is the only excuse I'm gonna take. Kate will be back to her old days I'm sure on that.

Atone for what? What has she done that's so terrible? She's not the only one that isn't perfect on the island ya know, alot of them have done terrible things.
I think that she wanted the girl to have medical attention, plus she wanted to rub it in Jack's face that many on the beach don't trust him. I hate the way Jack is acting, why is everyone picking on Kate so much?

i never liked Kate or her little man exchange games ,for that matter.Just another pretty girl,who takes all the drama from their past,out on 'innocent' folks.
I just see the current events as they are,she gave away a secret.She wasnt supposed to tell Jack,and she did just that.Dont care why or how,she is a snitch.
Kate knows sth ,IMHO,and she works for the others.Dont forget the strawberries by the beach!she actually did eat them,didnt she!;)
