I think the OP was being sarcastic after a few weeks of having (not known to us until revealed in a future episode)'s name filtered out.

Not really a revelation. Most people have known for weeks. It's been in spoilers and cast lists for ages.

What mysteries does it open up?

This thread cracks me up... it was totally silly to have to censor out her name.. Naomi.. Naomi... I feel so free being able to say it.. I think what the posts are saying is that being blocked from saying her name... her name.. not a plot spoiler was taken a bit overboard.. and now that we know and can say it.. the entire show has not been spoiled..

Yeah, no kidding! Every other board that discusses Lost that I visited in the past few weeks had been calling her Naomi from day one, except this one. And then there was this big huge deal made about it being "spoiler" material, even though her name had already been mentioned a bunch of times in threads here before they went in and changed everything to cover it all up. What a joke! I appreciated the sarcasm. ;)

Well, I found it out on this board before it was being censored and now I feel like the show is ruined. I tried to enjoy tonights show, and I just couldn't. I'll probably never watch the show ever again... just kidding.

Heck, even the producers of the show were calling her Naomi in public two weeks ago! I think if you want to be totally unspoiled you should just watch the show and not go online to discuss stuff. There's a grey area here between what is really spoiler material and what is not, and some people have different opinions about what constitutes spoiler material, so to play it safe the mods here at the Lage ruled to use the most conservative measure they could find to apply to defining what spoiler material might be. Some of us didn't agree with that, and now we're griping about it all. But griping in a nice fun way. I know I'm not angry about it, just taking the opportunity to poke someone in the ribs...

Thank you TPTB for allowing someone to mention her name during this ep. I was really tired of typing (I can't say this characters name yet because it hasn't be said in an actual episode, even though everyone and their dog knows what her name is). Naomi, Naomi, Naomi...wow that is so much easier.

don't like how we handle spoilers? there is nothing making you all posting here. if i wasn't a mod on this site, i would not have known her name until it was mentioned on this eppy. reading interviews, listening to podcasts or whatever is not a prerequisite for watching this show and you all should respect those that choose to stay spoiler free.
