View Full Version : Juliet and Jack could be on the RIGHT team, getting ready for the Others
Pulpy Austinite 05-03-2007, 01:10 AM just a thought. (and i'm sure it will be cleared up next week) is Juliet stringing Ben on to make him think she's working for him? if so Jack's declaration to Kate of 'we shouldn't tell her yet' would be explained. maybe Jack and Juliet have a plan for when the Others come. and they haven't told anyone yet so as not to alarm everyone. ..in fact, this seems very very likely.
only prob. now is that Sawyer has that tape recorder (which i'm sure Ben meant for him to take) and no one will believe Jack/Juliet.. damn sneaky Bug-Eyed!
gromit13 05-03-2007, 01:12 AM I'm not sure they have a plan but i think that the secret is they know the others are coming. They are choosing not to tell the camp until the right moment. But sawyer's gunna ruin this by making juliet look like she really is working for ben, instead of helping jack.

That Ben is an evil man I tell ya. Evil, but brilliant! ;)

i'm kinda curious if the, "Others in their hey-day" ep. is gonna be the flashbacks in the 2-hr season finale- or in an earlier ep.

That's
next week. The finale is a Jack episode, though I have a feeling part of the flashbacks will center on his time with the Others.
And I think you're spot on with the team.
I think Ben's purpose with Juliet is all inclusive:
1. Punish her for trying to get Jack to kill him by sending her on a kamikaze mission and outing her as a traitor to the losties (with the added benefit of not having to lose face with the rest of the sect for not keeping his word to Jack). Also get a bit of revenge on Jack for outwitting him with the surgery.
2. Collect data about fertility
3. Counter a very likely betrayal on Juliet's part (he already knows she hates him, IMO)
4....and most important of all, divide the losties and make them distrust Jack so that they'd die alone rather than live together.
I think this whole let's undermine Jack thing has been way too easy. Number 4 there makes a lot more sense to me. Anything else is... well... OK. Jack is sad that Juliet betrayed him. The losties ostracize Jack and Juliet. Um... OK. So?
For a couple of people who were both desperate to get off the island, Jack and Juliet sure didn't seem phased at the news that there's a ship just 80 miles off the island. They either know about Naomi already or they know this isn't a ship they'd actually want to board.

And, maybe it involves Danielle's dynamite!
sandiego6656 05-03-2007, 04:46 AM like your theory claudia. i believe jack and juliet might have a plan, but is it real, or just something that juliet is feedinlg jack? i know he would never work with her to hurt the losties, so it must be some plan or secret that he thinks will help them.
i still don't trust juliet, though. she has been working quite hard to get both jack and kate to trust her. she has jack already, and she must know that she can get kate's cooperation with any plan she has by way of kate's trust in jack. smart. and remember kate's trust (not just jack's) is a path that ben set her on, when he told her to drag kate into the jungle and lie to her. so i'm still thinking she is cooperating with the others, and that jack is making a big mistake, which will cause the losties to possibly ostracize him, leaving them with no leader, or at least not the best leader.
allergygal 05-03-2007, 05:42 AM Right now I'm so disgusted with Jack that I don't even care if he's got some great plan. He's alienated everyone since he's been back and his arrogance is unstoppable. I'd really like to see him look like an idiot and be humbled for once. That ego needs to be taken down a few notches!

His ego? He looked obviously confused when Kate was telling him about the woman landing on the island. And I think he was hurt by hearing that the Losties don't trust him. That was the "painful secret" he learned. But with that news from Kate, he knows that he doesn't have time to dwell on the niceties. He was immediately up to go see I'm guessing what information Naomi may have. Imo, Jack's the only Lostie who is still looking out for all the rest. Locke isn't. Sawyer, won't be. Guilt will be eating Sawyer alive. Desmond is being fooled by Naomi, who is either Dharma or working for Ben. Sayid doesn't trust anyone anymore. They've truly all gone Lord of the Flies. Ben is winning!!
Oceanus 05-03-2007, 09:38 AM Is it possible that there is another mole with the losties? Desmond perhaps...maybe even Kate? And Jack and Juliette are trying to find that person before they let everyone know what is going on?
One thing I've always found odd, is Kate and Ben's little breakfast at the beginning of the season....
What if the ship sitting off in the distance is just part of "kidnapping" operation? Like the submarine...it could be property of "the others". Maybe this ship and copter are responsible for the food drops (to keep the losties alive long enough for the various experiments "the others" have in mind).
What if Michael drove his boat right for the ship and got captured again?
I do not trust Naomi. The fact that Jack and Juliette didn't seem phased by the news of the ship and parachuter adds to my distrust.

VERY INSIGHTFUL! I agree that Jack was too un-interested in the fact that his friends are not trusting him. I think he was in a hurry to find out how much Naomi had "spilled" and to clean up any mess it created. Ben (as much as I don't like it) is much too detailed to send Juliet to the Losties just for preggers info. And he totally wanted Locke to take the recorder.

I have to say, I think they kind of went out of their way to show that Jack didn't care that his "friends" were keeping a secret from him. Jack and Juliet's secret could just be that Juliet is a mole; Jack could know about it. But, on the other hand, it seemed to me that whatever their secret is, it pertains directly to the satellite phone and whether or not it would work. I guess I'll have to watch that scene again.
Tundra_Ice_Cold6477 05-03-2007, 11:07 AM Jack and Juliet have a plan that involves the sub that Locke did not sink.
