She probably understands the abilities of the Island a lot better than everyone else, and could understand that Naomi showed up because of someone's wishes.

I didn't catch her expression as surprised as much as being uncomfortable that Kate would talk to Jack in that tone. And in front of her to make things worst.

I don't think Jack looked surprised either. They both seemed to be taking it as pretty boring news. Like they expected it almost.

My guess is when Ben said see you in a week, there is a big chunk of that conversation we don't know, Juliet knows exactly what is happening in this week. She may have told Jack, but I still do not think he knows everything. I thought he looked surprised aswell.

Juliet is a mole and Jack is a traitor.

It looked to me like she was almost smirking or trying a conceal an "I told you so" smile. There definitely seemed like some sort of meaningful and out-of-place-for-the-situation look between her and Jack.

My take on Juliet's look was that the idea of "rescue" is futile. Getting one's hopes up on being rescued is pointless because you can't leave the island so easily. Maybe like Desmond trying to get away on his boat only to return.

After everything thats happened in the last 90 days, I don't see how they could find anything surprising anymore.

She had the same look when Hurley told her where Ethan was buried. It is the "Juliet" look.

the Juliet look is sexxy by the way. Oh those eyes...

I think that Juliet is in on the beach raid but Jack has likely been told a cover story. At the end when Juliet pressed Jack to "tell her" I think she was hoping to get Jack to toss out some misinformation. Juliet is a mole. I think Jack is more of a tool than a traitor!

thank you. her "one note" acting is very strange and grating this part of the season.

I took something completely different out of that scene. It seems to me that whatever happened to Jack during those ten days with the Others has given him some inside information. Most people seem to think that Jack is a traitor, or too trusting of Juliet. I don't think so. I think he learned something about what is really going on, but is not ready to share it with everyone yet. This is why he has been acting so weird. He learned something important, either about the island, the Others, the Losties, the plane crash, or some combination thereof.

That scene, to me, was more like Juliet saying to Jack "I told you so", and when we find out what Jack learned, and now believes to be true, it will be earth shattering.

I agree.

The thing is if she were trying to act like she was now one of them and not a mole shouldn't she at least 'pretend' to be excited or distressed at the news? Don't just sit there looking..smug. React! Do something. If I were Kate Juliet's behavior at that moment would send up a big red flat. If I were Juliet I would at least let out an 'Omighosh! Really? A way off the island?" even if I didn't believe a word of it.

That is always a possiblity. We should keep our options open.

Actually, I thought she looked unsettled by the reminder that this group she was stuck with had killed her friend. And trying to cover for it.

As for last night, I though she looked amused. Seeing a joke no one else understood.

I think her expressionless face in yesterday's ep, and when talking to Hurley in another ep, is intended to keep the viewers guessing who's side she's on? How much she really knows? Is she really on Ben's side? On Jacks side? Or is she on Juliet's side? No expression. She's mysterious. Darn right spooky even.

She's a mole, yes, but is she just doing what she's told because Ben is powerful? No expression, no answers just yet.

Personally, I think she's working for one person and one person only -- Juliet. I think she likes the Losties (da like who wouldn't) but knows that Ben has more elaborate toys (boat, sonic fence, etc) and more means to actually get them home.

I believe Jack knows that Juliet is working as a mole for Ben and that the two of them are working on some sort of counterstrike against the Others, using her position as a mole to work against Ben. They're keeping it hush-hush because they don't want to panic anyone too early with the knowledge that the Others are coming for them again.

As for their reaction to Naomi, Jack probably knows about the fact that the Island can't receive any outside signals. Either that, or my crackpot theory is correct and Naomi parachuted down from the invisible floating Island that exists above our Island.

Juliet is on Juliet's side always. Jack definately knows more than he is letting on, but he is still on the Losties side if on any side. They are probably working together and know about "things". It will all come out when Sawyer gets back. Hopefully they will have pre-empted Sawyer and will be in the good graces
