The "is he wearing eyeliner" question has been posed many times in previous threads. Pretty sure the answer is NO. His eyelashes are naturally thick and lustrous. Which makes him all the more beautiful.

Big-time crush on Richard Alpert. (Doesn't hurt that Nestor Carbonell is a fantastic actor, too, but -- ooooooo, those eyes... and lips... and cheekbones... and forehead... and nose... and chin... and well, everything.)

Ah, that would explain it. I agree it looks cool. My own eyelashes are quite thick and long for a man (girlfriends get jealous) but only the top set. It's quite rare to see such thick eyelashes adoring the lower eyelid. He's a very handsome fellow, and a fine actor. Hope he's around next year.

I am sooooo digging Richie too. I also had the feeling that he will be revealed to be Jacob. After his pep talk to John, I was about ready to follow him onto some weird island jungle as well. And I do think he has beautiful, thick lashes, but it does seem that he had on a little eyeliner. I think its so that we pay attention to his eyes (because he is the all knowing all seeing Jacob? I can't wait to find out). I just think that the whole point is to make us perk up and pay close attention to this guy, that he is someone to watch.

Heh;) . That scene was pretty good though, when Mr. Eyeliner aka Eyeliner McGee played good cop. But I also think we were given tremendous insight into the Others and how they go about their business.

I find ALL the Others fascinating--except for Danny, who was a plot device, not a character.
