View Full Version : Will Locke die and be reborn as Jacob?

Now...it seems too drastic for Locke to just die and yet too much of a cop out to have him healed by the island (yet again). I'm wondering if Jacob will embody Locke and that is how Locke will help Jacob - by giving him a physical form (very Harry Potterish I know). So the character of Locke will die, but Terry O'Quinn will remain now playing Jacob (?).

BTW if the island heals Lockes gut-shot after letting Shannon, Ana Lucia, Libby and Colleen die of gut-shots then the island is totally sexist.:p

I think that Jacob will save Locke as Ben forshadowed. I don't think even Ben knows how powerful Jacob is. Locke's not dead by a longshot.

I agree that Locke is not dead, but when did Ben foreshadow it?

No way, Locke cannot be reborn because he will not die.

I think Locke will be saved by Smokie, which might ended up being connected to Jacob.

After he shot Locke Ben told him "Maybe Jacob will help you."

I think he was being sarcastic because he thinks or knows that Jacob is trapped and can't do anything...

What I find a bit strange is why Ben left Locke in the pit......Locke is the example of how the Island can heal. He knows that. He knows that Locke was paralyzed before he got to the Island. It could turn out to be a massive miss-calculation on Ben's part.

I wonder if this is another test by Ben...a test to see how far the Island will go to save Locke.

Sorry for the rambling thoughts.... :)

No, Colonel, I think you're right on. What Ben has shown himself to be doing ever since TMFT is testing Locke in various ways. At the same time, he resents Locke for having a connection with the Island which Ben himself doesn't.

Interesting thought. You could be right. However, I think that Ben knows there are certain ways to kill people on the Island. He shot Locke in the chest. It seems that people can survive from less serious wounds. I think he meant to kill Locke b/c he is afraid of losing control. Ben's gonna be sorry:biggrin:

I agree. Ben wants Locke dead. He is afraid of Locke.

Maybe... and maybe Jacob is Locke's Bad Twin! Oh God! Am I watching a Soap Opera? LOL!

Actually: I think it's possible.
