Well remembered! I think we had all forgotten about that one. Funny seeing as Eko and Locke were two people who stared down Smokie and lived.

I don't think he will die at all. I don't know how that would be possible, but it is and he will not die.

I am not sure Eko was right. Nikki and Paulos died before Locke.

the best thing about Lost is that they take you down a road that seems filled with clues that as viewers we can figure out and the thing is....the writers are so good at giving us clue, that we always misinterpret them.

Therefore, when Sayid asks Locke what Eko's last word's were, Locke asnwered..."We're next"

now, one can make the assumption that Eko did say "you're next", Locke turns around and tells Sayid "we're next" as "you're" could mean group..as in you're all going to die...and Locke then changes the vocab to be inclusive of the group he is standing in and changes it to "we're".

But he didn't.

Same basic question. Therefore same basic response.

Locke did not tell Ben that Jacob told him "help him".

Therefore, when Smokey kills Eko, and his last words are "we're next"....what exactly is he saying?

Eko and Locke are next for what?

Same with Locke...just becuase we heard a voice say "help me"...doesn't mean that that voice was Jacob needing help.

Therefore, when Ben demands from Locke to know what was said...and Locke says..Help Me...is that a cry from Jacob for help...or is that a coded response to Ben that Jacob wants Ben to help Locke.

So...

IF Lockes "help me" response is not Jacob that needs help, but really HE that needs help and THAT is the message that Ben..well, didn't want to hear...since Ben is the one that has put Locke in the position on needing help...and therefore Ben has made a baaaadddd mistake, one that Jacob then knew he would make.

THEN when Eko says to Locke "we're next", then Eko is talking to Locke about something only THEY should know about. Three people (Chaz had escaped) where in the hatch when it went Boom. We have seen kinda what happened to Des...we have no idea what happened to Eko and Locke...that is an experiance that's exclusive to them.

therefore, I don't think that Eko meant that Sayid, Paulo, Locke, ect...we're next to be killed.

I think that Eko meant to Locke that they are next to experiance something that really only the two of them know about.
