The shot of Vincent was quick . . . he was on a rope leash on his way to the radio tower with the rest. He looked like the slightly overweight, lovable lab that we remember.

Vincent, I missed him. Did he jump when Rousseau set off the dynamite?
It was good to see Rose and Bernard again. I was hoping to get a little info on why they weren't seen the entire season until now...you know, living further down the beach or some such reason.

It was so good to see Rose and Bernard again. And extra good to see them bickering. Good ol' Bernard - never gets the last word. When will he ever learn?

I was wondering that myself. They went to a lot of trouble to show Bernard's capabilities with the target practice scene. I'm surprised that Kate wasn't one of the shooters, even more so than Sawyer. Wasn't she the one who shot the rope holding the net she and Jack got trapped in? (After Jack missed!)

Anyway, I got off topic! Rose and Bernard are always a great addition to the show. Bernard really never struck me as a "hunter" type though LOL

Yuck. I was hoping the writers had realized how dull and boring they were and wrote them off.

This episode was for those of us who love the characters.

I know insiderscoop and others have called it "transitional" and dissed as a build-up to the finale, but in my book, it stands on its own as one of the best ever.

Yep, we still care about and look for Rose, Bernard, and Vincent. We love all our Losties and don't fuss over whether Jack or Sawyer is the better person.

We saw Vincent after Hurley asked Claire if she needed some help with Aaron. I was excited to see him. I was also excited to see Rose & Bernard. Guess the writers took into account of the fans wondering what happened to them. I didn't realize Bernard would have a big part in this...being one of the shooters.

Bernard and Rose had to do complicated wire unraveling.... in the end they didn't really need the wire but Bernards's excellent shooting skills. Fitting I'd say.

As the season winds down, it makes sense to me that we would see all the major losties. But I'm worried about Bernard. The focus on him being a good shot seems like a setup. And I don't think the 3rd shooter is Jin; I think it's Sun. :eek2: She shot Colleen, after all.

there has been much talk about deaths in these final episodes of Lost and we have serious situations for Charlie and Locke... now Bernard too...

It was definitely good to see them back. I love how they portray the "old marrieds" even though they've only been married for a short time.

To answer the query mentioned by an earlier poster, why Bernard and not Kate or Sawyer for a shooter, Kate, as a sexually active female, is a target of the attack. The Lostees probably decided to get all the "targets" away from the battle zone and possible capture.

It was fun to see Bernard, Rose and Vincent! I guess we could suppose that on the trek, Claire had Rose babysitting? Rose cracks me up! I loved her comment to Bernard that went something like: Well, if you're going to be hiding in the bushes lets go get something dark for you to wear. (paraphrase because I don't have it recorded)

It was great to see them again, definitely. So many people reappeared in this episode, which was great. I'm scared for Bernard though, I was really surprised he volunteered to stay behind as a shooter. He never seemed like the life-risking, leader-type in season 2, so good for him.

Rose & Bernard! They seem to bring back everyone for the finale sequences. When did Rose have time to have braids put in? I'd love to see these actors in their own sit-com - not as Rose & Bernard but different characters. They have great chemistry.

As for Bernard and Jin and Sayid as the shooters... well, isn't it refreshing to see someone else get to do something besides Jack, Kate & Sawyer? Good to spread the jobs around, you know? And screen time. But I worry about their safety. If some Losties have to die then some Others better die too!

I'm always happy to see Rose and Bernard, but I think their reintroduction so close to the Final Battle does not bode well, particularly for Bernard. Fans have to be reintroduced to the couple so they'll care when . . . .

It was so awesome to see Rose and Bernard. Bernard is such a whipped man, he loves Rose so much he will do anything she says. No bones there about who wears the pants. I love that Rose can put Jack in his place and is not impressed by him.

Because Jin has to protect Sun, and think about why Bernard would stay to be the shooter, there is a certain reason he can't leave the island.

to think Bernard, considering hes the most likely to die and wlel its not a regular character, but if it was Jin or Sayid its more shocking, Bernard wouldn't shock anyone.

I think it's apparent that Bernard gets killed off in the finale.

If Bernard is killed off then the whole Tail Section survivors subplot would have been basically pointless since all those characters will be dead.

Although Cindy and the kids were taking by the Others.

It IS weird that Jin and Bernard stayed behind, and not Sawyer and Kate (especially as Sawyer usually never misses the chance to shoot at people!! And Kate always want to take part to the action!!). We don't really know why Kate and Sawyer didn't stay behind so I guess either Bernard or Jin or both (or even Sayid perhaps) will die...

Did anyone think that Rose was out of character in this episode? I would have thought that the idea of her husband being responsible for the deaths of other human beings, even though they are evil, would disgust her. I always thought she respected life and wouldn't want to be responsible for a massacre! Even for her own protection...

Seeing them made me all happy and nostalgic.
