 Loved that scene! I was so glad they didn't leave it hanging with Hurley being upset about Charlie's comment concerning his size. I hope Hurley gets a hero scene of his own.

View Full Version : Charlie loves Hurley! Lost_in_CA 05-17-2007, 02:50 AM  Loved that scene! I was so glad they didn't leave it hanging with Hurley being upset about Charlie's comment concerning his size. I hope Hurley gets a hero scene of his own. Baileysdad 05-17-2007, 02:55 AM That was really nicely done...the last five minutes of that show were very strong. LostIslandBaby 05-17-2007, 03:03 AM Hey, can we all say, "Churley?" abbybaby 05-17-2007, 03:04 AM Greatest Bromance scene ever! I actually found it more touching than the Charlie and Claire scenes. QueenLizzie13 05-17-2007, 03:12 AM that was CUTE! I loved it !!! <3. Lost_in_CA 05-17-2007, 03:12 AM Greatest Bromance scene ever! I actually found it more touching than the Charlie and Claire scenes. So did I! He didn't even tell Clare he loved her. Guess he thought she'd know. Guys... sheesh! Raaabo 05-17-2007, 05:11 AM That was a very touching scene... I think it was one the only time two of the guys on the island ever say that. I could never imagine Jack telling Sawyer, "I love you." That would just be too damn strange. On a side note, the biggest laugh I got out of the episode was when Karl took out his gun and Hurely screamed, "WHOA!" I kept laughing after it happened... his reaction was so funny and real. do_it_for_johnny 05-17-2007, 05:13 AM Hey, can we all say, "Churley?" hahah....yeah. seriously, this scene was perfect. THAT'S what got me crying, Charlie saying he loved Hurley, and Hurley saying it back. :( Captain_Falafel 05-17-2007, 05:49 AM I loved it too. Personally I thought that Hurley knew exactly what was going on. He knows the score with Charlie and Desmond. He was saying that he didn't feel like hiking, but the underlining emotion was that he was very worried about Charlie. It was beautiful to see two men saying "I love you" to each other so openly. Please don't let this be the end of Charlie & Hurley! I want them to be the last guys standing! palomino_grl78 05-17-2007, 07:57 AM It was one of the sweetest scenes in LOST ever! I almost had tears in my eyes after that one. I have a huge soft spot for Hurley and could not stand him to lose his best friend after losing his potential girlfriend. I don't know if he could take it. Charlie/Hurley if definitely my favorite friendship on that show. You can definitely feel the love. Colonel Sanders 05-17-2007, 08:06 AM That was a very touching scene... I think it was one the only time two of the guys on the island ever say that. On a side note, the biggest laugh I got out of the episode was when Karl took out his gun and Hurely screamed, "WHOA!" I kept laughing after it happened... his reaction was so funny and real. LOL...that "Whoa!" scene had me laughing too...Hurley ducked away with the speed of a gazelle. :) The hug was a very moving scene....Charlie was just looking out for his friend and didn't want anything bad to happen to Hurley. Saukkomies 05-17-2007, 08:16 AM If it wasn't for the Others, I'm sure that Charlie and Hurley would have already made the Island a great vacation spot for all the survivors. Maybe after all is said and done, Hurley will use some of his megabucks to come back with Charlie and set up a nice resort on the Island... along with golf course and band shell. Remus Lupin 05-17-2007, 08:18 AM I loved that scene! The  was brilliant! SQT 05-17-2007, 08:28 AM That was an amazing scene. Personally, I thought it was just great to see them explore a relationship that has formed on the island that doesn't involve a l"et's get naked and have a love triangle" theme! lostlocke 05-17-2007, 08:31 AM What an adorable scene. At first I felt bad after what Charlie had said to Hurley, but I knew Charlie would make things right. How cute!:mushy: nancy 05-17-2007, 09:00 AM The scene was perfect. Hurley couldn't say, "I'm worried about you, that you'll die and not come back." and Charlie couldn't say, "I need you to stay here and take care of Claire and Aaron for me." So they said what they could say. But the scene said everything else anyway. It was so well done. It was the teary-eyed scene for me. Captain_Falafel 05-17-2007, 09:11 AM The scene was perfect. Exactly! The subtext was beautiful. I really didn't have a problem with Charlie telling Hurley that he was too big for the boat, because...you know...its true! There are insults and there are practicalities. bakerboys 05-17-2007, 09:16 AM I thought that that scene was perfect. I cried so much in last night's episode but that scene was just perfect. Lockefan 05-17-2007, 10:19 AM  Loved that scene! I was so glad they didn't leave it hanging with Hurley being upset about Charlie's comment concerning his size. I hope Hurley gets a hero scene of his own. I loved that scene. It was flawless. So poignant. You don't often see a genuine, loving, tender moment like that between male friends portrayed on television, which is yet another reason I loved the scene. Flawless. cylune 05-17-2007, 10:26 AM That was a beautiful scene. And count me in as one who thought it was more moving than the C/C good-buy (although I have reason to believe they did that on purpose). I want to see Charlie and Hurley together again!!! :crybaby: Captain_Falafel 05-17-2007, 11:28 AM I want to see Charlie and Hurley together again!!! :crybaby: Sniffle...I loved Charlie hugging his Hurley bear. It's too harsh for Hurley to lose his best friend so soon after his girlfriend. No wonder the poor guy feels cursed! Charlie/Hurley have the purest friendship on the show. To be honest I think these boys are the true heroes of Lost. No handsome looks or hunky muscles but they've got so much heart! Jack Sawyer 05-17-2007, 11:30 AM Hey, can we all say, "Churley?" What about Harlie? piscescat 05-17-2007, 11:36 AM Churley/Harlie.... either works for me! I loved their scene! Kate731 05-17-2007, 11:42 AM This was such a sweet scene! Poor Hurley.. Charlie telling him hes too fat to fit in the boat. The hug was very sweet. I too thought this was more touching than the Charlie- Claire scene. I like those two, but they've never had much chemistry to me. molly1977 05-17-2007, 12:44 PM Charlie and Hurley have such an amazing relationship. Any friends that can look death in the face together and say "whatever" are true deep friends. I think that the reason that Charlie couldn't say "I love you to Claire" is because the words are only words. What he feels for her and Aaron is too deep for words. The exchange between Hurley and Charlie was perfect. I was crying so hard (of course I cried from the moment the episode started until the last minute). Charlie wanted to make sure that Claire and Aaron had Hurley to depend on if he died. Aww man, I am tearing up again...at work!! shanzy288 05-17-2007, 12:52 PM It's funny, but I have the Lost figure toys and Charlie and Hurley have always been right next to each other on my fireplace and last night it was like it was meant to be. TheBeastIsMe 05-17-2007, 02:09 PM It's funny, but I have the Lost figure toys and Charlie and Hurley have always been right next to each other on my fireplace and last night it was like it was meant to be. I thought I was the only one who kept the Churley figures together! LostIslandBaby 05-17-2007, 09:14 PM Churley/Harlie.... either works for me! I loved their scene! Ditto.:) SLAVEMOM 05-19-2007, 06:48 PM I loved the scene but got a bad feeling that something might happen to Hurley and Charlie would be okay. LostIslandBaby 05-19-2007, 10:18 PM When Charlie was telling Hurley he was too fat to get on the boat, it was clear to me that he was only saying this to protect Hurley. Clearly, Charlie didn't want Hurley to be there when he drowned, and the best way to convince Hurley not to go with them was to point this out and say this. HeadFirstForHalos 05-21-2007, 07:23 PM It was very sweet. |
