I got the funny idea he was replaying the Shelly Winters line from the original Poseiden Adventure..

Charlie still proves he's a convincing liar. I also liked when Desmond asked him later, so how long can you hold your breath under water? And Charlie said, "Does it matter?" :frown:

Also, I loved Liam's speech when he gave him the ring about how Charlie's going to get married and have kids and Liam won't make it to thirty. Ironic.

This is possibly a reference to a very similar line by Shelley Winters in the original version of The Poseidon Adventure right before her character went on a similar "suicide mission" that involved rescuing someone trapped underwater. The character did indeed survive, but then died of a heart attack.

Some great lines already listed. I also liked Hurley's line at the boat, "Whatever, I love you too." Awww!

The last like that Karl says just before the commercial break, something like
"THEIR COMING!" I cant remember the ling but he said/yelled it with such gusto, I lol'ed.

"These the birds from row 2? Well done baby brother..."

"You and I both know you're not supposed to take my place, brother."

"You told us you are our leader, its time to start acting like one. Lead the people to the radio tower Jack, and take us all home."

Edit: Not really a line, but the look that Sayid gave Jack when Jack asked how he would get back out after flipping the switch. He was ready to put it all on the line there just like Charlie was, and he's obviously ready to do it anyway being as he stays back as one of the shooters.

And of course, Liam's speech! That was so great and emotional. Neil Hopkins is too good for reality!

Neil was brilliant in both his scenes. Loved seeing the sweeter side of Liam. He always gets great lines - "Are these the birds from row 2? Well done, mate." snork!

Two more Charlie lines that I loved -

"Yeah, yeah, swim into a hatch, flip a switch...piece of cake."

"Excuse me while I have a heart attack. I haven't been in a fight since I was 8...and I lost."

Charlie's "I love you" to Aaron. Cried and cried at that one.

Hurley's "Whatever man, I love you too"

Charlie's "why does everything always have to be a secret" or something like that. It is like he was voicing the viewers thoughts

Not really a quote, but I CRACKED up when Karl was giving them the gun and Hurley jump out of the way and went "whooaaa, dude..." Everyone one else was just standing still...... I don't know why this CRACKED me up so much!

its not entirely a funny line but Jorge's delivery was spot on. Charlie tells him that he is too fat for the boat. Hurley turns away muttering "not cool dude".

I laughed mostly because he was right and also because I knew Charlie would make ammends. These guys have a chemistry as actors. They make a scene work well.

Hahaha, yeah! "They're coming NOW!" It was so over-the-top and drama-queenish that I laughed, too, and wondered (not for the first time) how Alex ended up with this guy - they're so not alike!

And Rose whipping both doctors (Jack and Bernard). :whip: She was awesome.

It's funny, I JUST finished watching the epi again and then turned on the travel channel and it's Passport to Europe: Helsinki. And there was a shot of someone dressed up as Father Christmas in a sleigh. Weird!

I thought the whole scene with Charlie and Hurley was great. I mean, you think Charlie's going to tell him that he can't go because it's his (Charlie's) destiny or something. But no, Charlie says, "You're too big! You won't fit in the boat!" I'm sorry, that was funny!

This episode was provided some quality one-liners, but my favorite was when Karl produces the gun, and Hurley busts out with, "Whoooa, dude"...classic.

Absolutely the best line in this episode, in fact THE BEST LINE IN HISTORY OF ALL LOST EPISODES, was Charlie speculating on where Jack was taking them and says, "Why does everything have to be such a secret...how 'bout some openess for a change."

Love it, love it, love it! How many times I am aggrevated to death by these characters inability to tell the other what is going on...I know, I know, a necessary convention of writing, suspense, story progression, yada, yada....but at least the writers covered the most gaping hole in entire Lost franchise by this one, most excellent line by Charlie. Kudos!

That was my favourite line, too. Finally, Jack is back... The angry and decisive and cool Jack, not the whiny and bitchy Jack. :)

alright, Im going to just put it out there as a line that made me laugh even though it shouldnt have.

Not really a line, more like a scene, but I really liked it when Sayed tackled Karl on the beach. Awsome! Sayed is the guy I want next to me when I go off and fight the Others!

Ben to Alex: "Here's your gun back." Especially with the blood on her hands from tearin up his white rabbit!. And the arrows he shot at her with his glare were priceless.
