Really stupid thing only a Brit would really notice, but he plate on Charlies van was wrong. The front plate was yellow [should be white - yellow is only for the rear] and a couple of other things - wrong spacing for letters etc.

Great first post, I know:redface:

i noticed the plate spelled out something like "yre2ol" which i took to read You're too Old, which could be a jab at the fact that Charlie is supposed to die young (or younger were it not for Desmond). Maybe just grabbing straws there but all things considered you know the letters and numbers on that plate mean something. The creators wouldnt just throw us such a prominently displayed set of numbers and letters without it meaning anything...

I can't take credit for this, but over at Lostpedia, someone pointed out on the wiki that the license plate YRE2OL is basically LOTTERY spelled backwards.

and so it was! I think you're going to fit right in :D I see: Year 2050, but then it helps to transpose letters and numerals unintentionally and know the value of 'L'. :blushing:

Slightly off topic but the huge STOP lettering on the street behind where Charlie was busking is not a street marking one would find in London!!! And all the Andy Cap caps that almost everyone is wearing?? A bit overly stereotyped??

Nitpicky, I know, but just couldn't help myself!!!

Ha, I also noticed in Kate's Iowa flashbacks, that the Iowa license plates are wrong there too.

Folks, folks, "YRE2OL," or "You're Too Old," is the second half of a common saying among us musicians "If it's too loud, you're too old." That's all.

Also, in "Not in Portland" the licence plates on Rachel's car and the van looked like Florida, but they were on the fronts of the vehicles. Florida only has plates on the back.
In "The Man Behind the Curtain" the Karmann Ghia, not in Portland, Oregon should have had a plate on the front.

Assuming it was Portland, Oregon. There are a lot of Portlands.
