I'm not sure sure if I am rooting for Kate & Sawyer, or for Kate & Jack to be together.

But, I was so moved to hear that in "The Answers", the creaters of Lost had confirmed my recognition of the growth and maturity of Jack's character. I was concerned that Jack, in the middle of season three, was starting to lose his way.

But Jack is Back. Our Hero! Our Bad ***! He wants to rescue the people that he has come to love and consider his family. This includes Sawyer, who has bedded the woman that Jack has come to love. A true love. Not the destructive, obsessive kind that had consumed him with his ex-wife, but the kind of love that comes when you only want the best for that person, and for them to be happy even if that means letting them "go" to be with someone else.

Jack has come a long way. I absolutely LOVE the devolopment of this character.

"Jack is not giving up on Kate".

It is my hope that the writers do something extraordinary for Kate's character. I want her to find her way, so that she can be the right person for Jack.

I know that many people have disagreed with many of Kate's choices, but they were all necessary. She is learning, and the viewers are learning that there is some kind of purpose to Kate's seemingly reckless behavior.

Thank god she went against Sayid's wishes, and told Jack about Naomi. If she hadn't, they would have been sitting ducks.

The first time Kate slept with Sawyer in the Cages, she thought that Jack had refused to do the surgery, and that Sawyer would be killed. Jack agreed to do the surgery AFTER he saw them in the cage together. He thought Kate had chosen to be with Sawyer, and decided to try to rescue them by holding Ben hostage on the operating table. I don't think that Kate would have slept with Sawyer if he wasn't going to "die".

Guys, I hate to admit it, but I'm rooting for the ultimate "LOVE story".

Damn the writers for making me actually CARE about these characters that don't really exist!!!!

I totally agree with you especially with the bolded part. I want that ultimate love story too, and that is something that I think the writers are slowly, SLOWLY building up to. Jack has come on an amazing journey, and I think that Kate still has a ways to go. And no she wouldn't have slept with Sawyer, that whole thing was orchestrated by Ben to get Jack to want to do the surgery.

i agreed with you... its great to hear that jack isnt giving up on kate and its really good to have the old jack again.
i didnt know the word "shipping" before i start watching lost. then i saw jack and kate... the writers made me root for a couple for the first time in my life.

I'm excited too, to see how the writers will bring the two of them together. And I hate how torn I am between Jate and Skate! I love them both! But Jate is the ultimate love story, slowly evolving and the character development is amazing. I agree with the posts above.

And I'm really embarrassed about being a shipper :redface:

I NEVER doubted that he loved her! He's a lot more complex than some would make him out to be. He may have the best take on the Others, especially their psychology. He's playing their game until he can make his move, which is hopefully tonight! The Others are going down and the Losties will become the dominant group calling the shots. Should be interesting next season - will they move into Otherville? Will they learn to live together or will some end up dying alone? Will there be an island wedding? Will Kate become pregnant and who's baby will it be, Jack's or Sawyer's? Stay tuned! :kiss:
