Two events happened that signaled changes off the Island.
Desmond turns the key which alerts the guys working for Penny
Locke enters "77" and alerts Hanso (?) or whoever.So it's possible that two groups are coming to the Island to join the two groups already on the Island. In total we could have:

1. The Losties
2. Ben's Others
3. Penny's rescue team
4. Naomi's (aka Hanso) Group

Oh no! Could this be the plot of season 4? Did I just ruin things for everyone? Naaaah! But you have to admit that if this does play out, the Island is about to get veeeeery crowded.

5. The "Lost Boys." Some folks (me included) think there may be another, more "feral" grup of people on the island. It's this group that we see in "...And Found" that sneak past Eko and Jin as they're searching for Michael... the group with a young person dragging a teddy bear on a rope. It may be this group that Danielle is referring to when she says she's never seen them, only heard them whispering (since she clearly seems to know something about Ben when she hands him over to Sayid in "One of Them"). This group may also consist largely of younger people, perhaps explaining why Danielle baits some of her traps with dolls.

I thought Carleton said once (sorry I can't say a specific episode) on the podcast that there were no Lost Boys, etc?

But I gotta agree with you, there is some other group we don't know about yet.

I definately think Locke's actions in entering 77 will have some big consequences in S4, but as for more people coming onto the island, I don't know.

Naomi, in my opinion, will be the only one of Penny's search and rescue team we will see.

nah the people walking through the jungle were the others we know and love, the kid was from the plane. In another 48, we see the boy lay the bear beside his sister.

1: The bear in the jungle is being carried by a line of some kind that seems to be tied around its left arm and midsection. We never see Zack's bear with such a line attached to it.

2: The bear in the jungle has apparently been done up with a "bandage" or "splint" on its left leg. We never see such a thing on Zack's bear.

3: The coloration of the bears looks slightly different. It's hard to be sure because of the differences in lighting between scenes. But -- although both bears are brown with lighter-colored snouts -- there seems to be more difference in color between the body fur and the snout fur on the jungle bear than there is on Zack's bear. Zack's bear's snout appears to be only slightly lighter than its body. The jungle bear's snout appears to be more noticeably lighter than its body.

4: Also hard to tell due to variations in lighting, but it looks like the jungle bear may be slightly darker-colored in general than Zack's bear, and also possibly made of a different material. Zack's bear looks more like the somewhat smoother, glossier hair seen in higher-end teddy bears, while the jungle bear looks like it might be the shorter, coarser material found in less-expensive teddy bears.

5: (Info from a Podcast) In one of the podcasts, Damon and Carlton implied the bears were not the same, though there's apparently some dispute over whether they were being entirely serious, entirely satirical, or -- surprise, surprise -- generally evasive.

don't forget they have been on a crazy island running from the others for 48 days I'm sure a teddy bear could get a little banged up, also the colouration can be explained by being in the sun all day it's probably just faded or it's just dirty, I mean who knows what is actually happening, but I am strongly in the camp that it is Zacks bear. I agree with you about the podcasts, I generally tend to take everything they say with a grain of salt.

I could see her and Sayid putting their heads together and using their collective technical/communication skills to build another "flame" type facility. I just hope they can get a few Losties to stand guard in case likes-to-blow-things-up Locke gets any ideas. :rolleyes:

I agree. Naomi is with the Widmores ( not The Penny Widmore Group ) and The "New" Hanso ( which is under "new management!" ).

So I'm thinking that Penny somehow discovered her father's link with The Hanso Group and her father's plans to get Desmond on the Island and out of her life.
