I normally don't come here to chat, but it's just bugging the heck out of me that no one I regularly talk to about the show had even seen or heard of Alias >_<

Did anyone else remember Alias immediately as the Charlie death scene transpired? I haven't watched Alias in years, but when Charlie closed the door on Desmond to save his life and sacrifice his own as a flood of water came pouring down on him... and then Desmond trying to save him by busting through the glass with a fire extinguisher... did anyone else think of the same thing that happened between Vaughn and Sydney after the giant orange ball blew up?

And how about that twist ending? I'm assuming it's almost three years in the future now. Didn't that already happen on Alias during Season 2? Well, that was two years.

Carlton Cuse, Damon Lindelof, a wonderful episode you've written. Jack Bender, the episode was so very beautiful (though you might want to keep you extras, 'specially my fave Chris Candella, from being in seven different spots in seven consecutive shots during that early radio scene ;) ). I enjoyed every minute, my early love for Jack and Charlie has thankfully been restored, all the twists and surprise cameos were wonderful, and my only two gripes with it all are Tom dying (though a very, very good scene highlighting what's to come for Sawyer) and James Lesure not getting a scene with Marsha Thomason. Thank you guys, and everyone else working hard ont his show, for making a beautiful and wonderful season. I cannot wait until January.

Good point!!! I remembered the part where Sydney sucks the air out of the tires underwater for what an hour before swimming up to the top but I had forgotten about Vaughn!! Hmmmm there's hope for Charlie fans??

I TOTALLY DID!!! It was the very thing I thought of and for a moment I hoped that maybe, like Vaughn, Charlie would turn out to be a really good swimmer... but I fear even Rambaldi can't save our favorite Junkie :frown:

I wasn't really an Alias watcher but caught some eps and was going to start watching...ah not time - what with Lost and everything but I did see that ep and now that you mention it...yes very cool connection there.

And is no one going to mention all the parallels between "The Looking Glass"... Alice in Wonderland, white rabbits and going down the rabbit hole?

Those were all things emphasized on Alias. Ones we debated over and over and theorized about... and alas... never, ever got an answer to before the series finale. Hmm. Makes me sad. We talked many, many times about those things on SD-1. JJ Abrams had his hand in both of these shows in their earlies stages... then he got preoccupied with other things. I hope beyond hope that Lost answers all these questions better than Alias ever did. (Can you tell that Alias is my all-time favorite show?) Seasons 1 and 2 were the best ever... and then JJ left... and all went downhill from there. * sigh * I'll always have my DVDs. * teary *
