Does anyone think that it could be possible that what we saw here with Jack's flash forwards were actually one of Desmond's visions?

We could've been watching those flash forwards of Jack through the eyes of Des whenever he has a vision. Remember that he said the flashes were all kind of like a jigsaw puzzle that he has to put together to see the whole picture. At the very end when Charlie showed him the message on his hand (Not Penny's Boat), all of those visions suddenly popped into place and he knew of the dire consequences that would happen since he knew they were heading to the radio tower to call Naomi's team who apparently are not who they say they are. (Did Naomi actually ever tell what she was there for??)

I'm willing to bet that at the start of next season we will find Desmond hauling *** to the radio tower in an effort to get Jack to destroy the phone or call off the rescue team.

Just my thoughts....anyone else?

Possible? Yes. Anything is possible in Lost.

Probable? No way.

I personally think that the events we saw in Jack's life was 'present day' (like 2007)

I was thinking this too initially, but hearing about the gold pass to any flight makes me think that their being rescued was public knowledge of sort, not similar to Desmond who went back and could have possibly avoided what happened. If Jack / Kate had gone back, the airliner wouldn't be providing them with a sort of gift for the crash.

Good points..... but there were also numerous references to Jack being a "hero" for what happened. Obviously the details were not all provided, but why would they consider Jack a "hero" if he left a bunch of people behind that he now wants to go back and get??

When I watched it, especially when they showed the maps in Jack's apartment it was clear that it was the future. The way I took the episode (or at least how it appeared to flow) was that it was NOT a flash forward, but still a flash back. This "future Jack" was recalling the moments when he could have pulled back (listened to Ben basically) and stayed there, saved them. But he didnt, and made the call... I really think he was regretting that and whosever's "funeral" it was reminded him heavily of those events and made him recall his possible last day on the island....

I think those flash forwards were just one possible reality, just as Christian dying was one possible reality, and Desmond seeing a football match with different ending were multiple possible realities.
