When Charlie reveals to our Soviet cyclops Ben's lies (mainly that The Looking Glass was not flooded) he seems upset. Sure. But then he seems almost as upset as the Losties when he discovers that the signal is being jammed. Does he want off the island just as bad as everyone else? Who is Mikhail working for? Is he Dharma? Is he Others? Is he third party? What's the significance of the signal being jammed and his work in the Flame? I trust him about as far as I can throw him.

I think he was a true other, dedicated to Ben until he saw the web of lies Ben had woven. HE was the guy in charge of Comms out of the Flame and Ben told him the reason Comms were down was because the sky turned purple. But the reason they were down was because of Ben's two looking glass bunnies, Bonnie and Greta. Add that to Mikhail's realization that the LG wasa NOT flooded, etc. Disillusioned Other gone postal.

True it does look like but were also talking about a guy who had blood pouring out of his ears and was also just shot through the chest with a spear so i think its a reasonable assumption that we may yet see mikhail again in feb.

I think that Mikhail was loyal to the Others/Ben until he learned that he had been misled to believe that the LG station wasn't really flooded and that he hadn't been told about the signal being jammed. But, he still followed his orders to kill the LG chicks and he took Charlie out with the grenade :frown:

As to whether on not he went 'explodey', we'll just have to wait and see.... :eek2: :biggrin:
