The cave couple: Kate & Jack reunited on the island at a different time? Chew on THAT. (Because I'm fairly certain there's absolutely no way I could logically support the theory. But it's interesting to think about.)

Nope.

Huh. I was just beginning to think that either Adam or Eve was in the coffin at the funeral home. Well, dang! There goes THAT theory!!

I think it could be jack and kate in a different time period aswell, but, likewise i don't know how to support that...

I def think that Jack and Kate are Adam and Eve, esp. after last night.

Maybe it is them but they go back. We still don't know the nature of what we saw last night. That if it was one of several possible futures etc.

It's certainly interesting to think about. Though I'm not quite sure I buy into the whole time travel type ideas. Though some people may argue with this statement, so far the idea of time travel still seems kind of far-fetched.

Adam and Eve are Magnus Hanso and his wife

Why Jack and Kate? I'd say Locke and Rose. Rose could die if she left the Island and we all know that Locke has no desire to go.

Maybe it's Ezra James Sharkieton and Juliet. Why? Because I felt like it! I created a post about this in the man behind the curtain epi section I think, here's the link:http://thefuselage.com/Threaded/showthread.php?t=79886

Adam and Eve had Dharma clothes, so unless some other time iteration has jack and Kate working for Dharma, it can't be them.

Are you sure that they had Dharma clothes? The only mention of Adam and Eve was way back at the beginning of season 1, way before the writers came up with Dharma.

I don't remember anything about them having Dharma clothes.

Tell that to Desmond and Mrs. Hawking.

They didn't have Dharma clothes and those bodies have been there at least 40-50 years, so that would predate Dharma anyway.

I'm still hoping they are Amelia Earheart and her navigator. :D

After the finale I also think that Adam and Eve are Jack and Kate. Can't really explain it in a adequate way, but I have this feeling.

That would be cool - imagine final image of lost ever - Kate and jack lie down in the cave :D

haha, they lay down and die? What a double suicide? That would be cool that Adam and Eve turned out to be them but the probablility seems kind of low, although it'd be even cooler if it was them, after they came back to the island after having been rescued.

In "house of the rising sun" jack takes a pouch with the two stones off one of the bodies. He doesn't mention them to anybody, just takes them. This explains why the skeleton could be him if he travelled to the past and died. Also, consider the fact that the producers have said that this is VERY significant, and that they put it there as proof that they already had planned the end of the show as early as the first season. Maybe it's not Jack and Kate, it could be Penny and Desmond (given Des's time travelling abilities) if Jack eventually gives the stones to Desmond. Either way, I'm convinced that the skeletons are either one of these couples.

When I first saw the episode with Adam and Eve, I had a very strong gut reaction that it WAS Jack and Kate laying there. I think it mainly had to do with Kate saying she felt strange. (Which is understandable considering the two skeletons.) However, I feel that considering the writers have said this is a key plot point that was put in early- makes every action with them significant.

I absolutely agree with you. I think this will be the final reveal at the end of the last year.

I could have sworn I saw a screencap before of a faint Dharma logo on the Adam and Eve clothing, but I can't find it. So sorry about that. Clearly I was wrong.

I'm now getting on the "Adam and Eve are Jack and Kate" bandwagon!

I'm so glad someone brought this back up. Just throwing this up for thought: Both Locke and Danielle have expressed the strong desire to stay on the island, anyone give consideration if it is to be related to our losties, it could be them...

Well, I dunno about Jack & Kate, but the fact that the producers have always said that the scene is quite significant, has led me to believe that Jack somehow knew who the skeletons were...

I certainly didn't see anything in the finale that discounts the theory...and if Jack somehow convinces Kate to go back to the island post-rescue, in the "present", well...

Yes Yes Yes!!! Okay in the FF Kate needs to go back to "Him". "He" could be her young son Sawyer/James Jr. She doesn't want to go back to the island with Jack because she knows what that entails and she's got her son to think about; she can't bring him along, and what if they can't ever get back? But Jack finally convinces her to go, so she leaves the boy with her friend Cassidy. Jack and Kate reach the island 50 years in the past and witness all the Dharma/Hostile stuff, and they spend the rest of their days in the caves, together and happy, but it is tragic as well for Kate who will never see her son again. Meanwhile her son is being raised with Clementine his half-sister. Just my silly crackpot theory
