It seemed pretty telling that there was absolutely no mention of Ana Lucia, Ecko, Libby, Nikki & Paolo (did I miss anybody else?)--the "failed" characters. I don't really care about any of them except Libby--how did she end up in the same place as Hurley?! Will they ever tie that up?

I hope so. I've been wondering that myself. I doubt they will, though. She hasn't been mentioned in so long.

What do you mean by failed?

They have to explain that, it was such a big deal when it happened. It was the cliffhanger to end the episode!

I wish I could do the respect of remembering this fuselagers' name, because they wrote this brilliant description of this shows' viewing experience. Every mystery is a ride in this great amusement park of a show, through which are being given a tour. We get peeks at some rides, have to walk right past them, and are left wondering whether we will ever get to go on those rides...

Here (http://thefuselage.com/Threaded/showpost.php?p=1387167&postcount=238) and expanded on a bit more here (http://thefuselage.com/Threaded/showpost.php?p=1387225&postcount=242).

Back to the OP, it seemed to me that Eko was actually shown quite a bit, just mostly in relation to Smokey. I also thought Sayid and Michael got very little airtime, and Walt very conspicuously got a lot of airtime. I don't know that it was necessarily a matter of "failed" characters, but just things that would be relevant to TTLG.

Well, it kind of makes you wonder if Charlie will be skipped over in next season's clip show.

I still miss Eko. His character was really special and still had a lot of potential. I even miss Anna-Lucia too.

Cindy, the two kids, and 10 unnamed tailies--all captured by and living with the Others.

If they do a recrap just prior to the start of Season 4, there is NO WAY they can skip over Charlie. The Looking Glass was too key to the finale, and the finale is too key to the events of Eppy 1 of S4. I could wish they'd include him due to his influential presence over 3 seasons. But they'll have to include him even if it's only for strategic storytelling reasons. (Cold? Yes, it is. But true. :unhappy:)
