View Full Version : Carlton Cuse & Damon Lindelof reporting for duty
BillyLo 05-24-2007, 03:36 AM It is unquetionably Damon Lindelof's voice as the pilot at the beginning of the episode. Podcast fans just take a listen. Great episode. Future flashback, Jack as tortured Howard Hughes character, Christian still alive! They can go practically anywhere now with the series. Great end to a somewhat frustrating season. Glad the boys set an end date, can't wait. Thoughts?
maeby 05-24-2007, 03:42 AM Hopefully Jack doesn't go the full Howard Hughes route, syphilis and six-inch nails wouldn't be his best look. ;)
I agree, it was a great twist to add another dimension to the show's direction, and give it a fuller feel. It'll be interesting to see how radically the format changes...
Ripper 05-24-2007, 03:50 AM I seem to remember TPTB saying that fans should be wondering why Christian Sheppard's body was not in the coffin, so I guess we can assume that Christian is not dead or is he dead and there are separate timelines. Also, I think that we can assume that Desmonds "ability" will play a HUGE factor in upcoming seasons. What better way of getting back to the island is there than never leaving at all. Go back in time and don't leave. Sounds easy, at least to me.
BrandonHasTheKeys 05-24-2007, 04:20 AM I'm not convinced there's any strong evidence that Christian is still alive. Please explain.
QueenLizzie13 05-24-2007, 04:28 AM neither am I. For example the pharmicist was going to telephone Christian. But Jack made some lame excuse that he's out of town. That was fishy to me. I'm not so sure that he is alive either.
who knows. guess we'll have to wait until next season. which i hope most everyone sticks around for.
lost168 05-24-2007, 04:32 AM I'm pretty sure in the official podcast Christian Sheperd is confirmed dead.
Jack mentioning his father in the flash forward is simply Jack losing his mind.
Lost_in_CA 05-24-2007, 04:32 AM I don't think he' alive either. When Jack says something to the other doctor about sending for his father, I think it's the drugs talking. That's why the doctor looks at him so pitifully. Jack can't accept what's happened.

yes...i'm glad someone else caught that. it made me smile
BillyLo 05-24-2007, 05:16 AM Both our podcast buddies had cameos tonight. Lindelof was the pilot which I noticed off first viewing. On the 2nd watch, Cuse is the voice of the TV reporter talking about 6th st bridge incident when Jack leanes ER room and sees the boy.
zaphod_fl 05-24-2007, 05:26 AM Dang!
Good catch... I need to re-watch
raspie 05-25-2007, 02:50 PM Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse alluded to hearing one of their voices during the finale...was it the guy's voice at the end when Jack makes the call? I've only watched it once, so I can't be sure.
Dublin Dilettante 05-25-2007, 02:52 PM As far as I know, Damon supplied the voice of the pilot in Jack's flashforward, and Carlton the TV reporter heard in the hospital.

I don't see how clairvoyance leads to time travel backwards....
