Hi Raggs,
You're just the man I need to talk to.* *:)
I posted a question to Javi a while back about ATBCHDI and the Episode Guides on the ABC site (which I now know that you have a part in writing because I visited your website).* Here are the relevant parts of the conversation:
Me:
I have a question about who writes the "Episode Guides" in the "Show Info" section of ABC's official "Lost" website:* Are the writers (or anyone else with knowledge of future events) involved in creating the summaries, or is the author a neutral party that knows just as much (or as little) as the rest of the audience?
I ask because the Episode Guide for the 11th show states that Jack hears the monster right before he slides down the hill.* Most other people that I've talked to refer to it as a bird's or a woman's scream.* If it's not too bold, may I ask if it actually is intended to be the "monster" that is heard?
Javi:
i know that we generate synopses in the writer's offices but am not sure of they are the ones that wind up on the abc website.* specific to ATBCHDI what jack and kate hear is not the monster but in fact a human scream - the monster has a very specific sound. and we only trot that out when we mean it!
So, uh, any info on why the summary states that the monster is heard at that particular moment?
Thanks so much for all of your hard work on LOST!* It's the only show on right now that I absolutely *have* to watch each week.* And kudos for taking the time to interact with us fans!
Dana :)
