I just love how much thought is put into metaphysical speculation on this show. Where else on television or even in movies do you have your beliefs and perceptions of time and space challenged and provoked like they are on LOST.

Remember the writers just opened the "alternate timeline" past/future Pandora's box. Which means "dead" characters can always return with a little trip to the past...

Oh the difference is real but what we don't know is if it accumlative or if it's constant. Meaning that the time difference is constant going in and out..but the Island time is still running different. Like the fact that Sayid said he didn't realize it was almost Christmas..which is strange for a muslum

He may die but still have an ongoing role in story like Jack's Dad.

That was the greatest episode we have ever had. That was.

I agree..this was the best episode the series has had. Perfectly constructed, and a large part of the puzzle starts to fall into place. I think tonight established two things. First, since Desmond seems to get all the best episodes, I'm pretty sure he'll survive the series. Second, it seems the show has shifted gears, even moreso than at the end of season 3. The answers are coming now, and while I'm sure more questions will follow, the mysteries of the island are going to start being laid bare.

Yom Kippur I would have to check with 1 of my Jewish friends, but Ramadan I do know because I've been to Iraq...back to the subject of the show

Great episode, I agree. Lots of answers, or at least revelations, surprised we got so many. I'm not complaining though!
This is a great show and will be sorry to see it go.
