Awesome from beginning to end. Just...awesome.

Wow! They are packing so much into the episodes this season. I mean, introducing 4 new characters, giving background on all and moving the story along quickly (while mixing in some more mysteries and a sprinkling of answers) - and making it flow coherently. The writers are amazing. And the execution of it is just incredible. I can't wait for next week.

Loved it! Lots of questions asked and new mysteries but a lot of little inside jokes...I'm still laughing

That was the freakiest episode I've seen in a long time. I'm still confused, but in a GOOD way. Awesome!

Wow, so far season 4 is off to a MUCH better start than season 3. Vintage LOST greatness all around. And I'm loving the Freighties so far -- especially Dan and Miles. Really cool, interesting characters.

You know, I consider myself a pretty huge Lost geek. I like to think I've got at least a SLIGHT handle on what's going on, or at least some pretty good ideas (thanks to all the discussion here, especially).

Well, the first two episodes of this season have basically blown my mind. I don't have the slightest clue what I think is going on anymore, and that's AWESOME. It seems like the 'Lage is a little slower so far this season. Could it be that a lot of people, like me, just don't know what to say?? LOL.

This show is GENIOUS!

I have just one word to describe tonight's episode and this is meant in a good way...

MINDBOGGLING!! lol

This show is GENIOUS!

...and entertaining and intellectually challenging. And it can be enjoyed on many levels. I have friends who enjoy the show but don't visit websites or forums and still love the show. They're along for the mind-bending ride.

I love the mystery of Lost, and I come to the boards to share in the wisdom of the collective mind...and, at times, to share my enthusiasm for the show. I have never visited boards or sites for other shows, nor do I foresee a time in which I would. But Lost is different--the websites, fan sites, and forums increase the amount of enjoyment of Lost. So, thanks to all posters who visit the best Lost forum---the lage.

Oh, and about tonight's show? Loved it. Mind-bending as usual. Loved seeing almost every one of the cast. Enjoyed the new characters. Season 4 looks to be a great season of Lost, however long it turns out being.

Chock full of goodness! I don't think I've ever paused and backed up so many times during an episode.

Excellent episode. The only part I didn't like was the ending. I mean it was good but when Locke asked "What is the monster?" I got goosebumps hoping we would finally get an answer but Ben just goes "I don't know." What a tease, writers. What a tease.

:groove: I loved this episode! So much information and, after reading the review for tonight, I wasn't prepared for how good it was! From Jack & Kate scoping things out to the introduction and fbs of the freighties to Locke, James & Ben to the polar bear in the desert to Matthew Abbadon being part of the "rescue" effort to Ben saying he didn't know what the smoke monster is and rattling off the names and stats of all the freighties. Mind-blowin' stuff in true Lost style!! Thank you, writers and directors! :clapping: :ntworthy:

FANTASTIC!!! The epi moved quickly, had lots of information for us to dissect, new characters, their backstories, lots of action, humor and a great shot of Jack's jean cladden behind. SWEET! Thank you!

I'm so glad I'm watching these unspoiled. That episode moved so fast. Usually it would take four weeks to get to know all of the newcomers but we learned about all of them tonight. Great idea for each of them to have a flashback. The casting seems to be pretty good so far. What a motley crew. So much to think about! Time-traveling polar bears, a ghost buster, and a spy on the boat. Poor Ben-my baby' face looks like hamburger!

Jumpin' on the band wagon of sweetness that was this episode! Everyone, took the words right outta my mouth about the pace! awesome. I love where this season is headed and I can't wait for more! I loved Jack's wink to Kate (and then later trying to explain to her that he did, in fact, wink at her) hahaha, awesome.

Great ep, once again...

It's funny, we are getting so many new mysteries thrown at us, but I don't feel confused or frustrated. I think because the show is so good right now I am willing to just let it play out.

This episode was amazing from start to finish.

I really liked Ben's character this epi. He's had some great lines the last two shows. I commented about what I didn't like on the other thread, and since this is a love it thread, I won't go there.

I really liked Miles' sarcasm. "Oh, you're survivors from 815. wooo-hoo. Is that better?" or something like that. Cracked me UP!

This episode was great! It left me wanting more. I was enthralled the entire time. I am desperate to know what happens! Every character is being pushed to his or her limit. Good stuff.

I absolutely loved it! The scene with Jack and Kate, when he said to the freighties that his friends in the jungle had guns pointed at their heads, I was like 'Nah, he's trying to pull a fast one.' Then those shots rang out, and I practically jumped for joy! Awesome!

This was one of my favorite episodes yet....enough to get me out of lurkdom.

I have to say this is the best season yet!!!! Thank you !

totally the best episode in a long time. i cannot even compare it to the first season! It was fast paced and short on long commercials. i was so pleased. lots of information. i loved it when locke asked ben about the smoke monster, i about died thinking we would have a real answer, but that's ok. i watched it again right afterwards. can't wait til next week

LOST has done what noone has ever been able to do...left me totally speechless!! All I can say is "WOW!" Absolutely LOVED the episode!

Loved it! Especially the way Locke's group acted -- sure they aren't really the others. Seemed like they had come full circle.Kept waiting for someone to say " This is our island" to the newbies.

I loved this episode even more than last week. I loved the new male characters, especially Miles and Daniel. I think it's going to take me a while, if ever, to warm up to Charlotte. There's something off-putting about her. Don't know yet whether it's the character that bothers me, or the actress.

Love Lock and Sawyer and Ben together. Boy, Ben really knows what buttons to push with all of them, doesn't he? Loved Locke standing in the rain again, communing with the island. Love that man! Even wacked out he is fascinating.

Feels like Sawyer is dancing on an edge, like he could go good or bad right now. His willingness to kill Ben is a little scary, But then Locke, Jack, Sawyer qll seem more willing to kill than before. I do love Sawyer and want him to get hold of himself. Love that he isn't just blindly following Locke, that he seems to be on top of what's going on. Sawyer can be really smart, but they dumb him down more than I like sometimes.

I even liked Jack when he made his snarky reply to Miles--"How smart ARE you?" I don't usually like Jack that much, but tonight he had a couple of places where he came through for me. Another time was when he told Kate, " I gave you that little wink..." Liked Juliet and Sayid together. They seem to have resolved their differences. Just love Juliet--she is so cool and beautiful and together.

There was so much to like about this episode I could probably go on for another half hour. Loved it and I am so glad Lost is back. It doesn't disappoint.

Wow, I haven't been here in ages.
Anyway, great ep. There were two moments were I was literaly sitting there with my mouth hanging open. We are definitely off to a very good start this season, and Lost has now cemented it's place as my all time favorite TV show.

Despite my best efforts to be patient, I'm looking forward to the end of the writers' strike, which will hopefully come soon. Because if the rest of the season as good as the first two episodes, I want them to have the chance to finish the season arc as they originally envisioned it. I love it when a good story comes together, and this continues to feel like the middle of a thick, juicy novel.

Overall, while the season is still clearly in the introductory phase, marching through the usual process of setting up new conflicts, this episode is equally devoted to establishing the new characters as important to the answers to many lingering questions. The wrtiters are still taking their time, but it’s clear that the timetable has accelerated, and that bodes well for the rest of the season.

Great Episode! Love Faraday and can't wait to see what more answers are revealed.

Long time lurker, first time posting. : )

Loved it. Loved the flashbacks especially the one out in Tunisia. Really cool new doorways opening up for the show. I know some people aren't into the whole ghostbuster thing with Miles but I'm into that sort of thing so I loved it. The flashbacks of the newcomers were really excited/interesting to watch and I for one am NOT disappointed in the first two episodes of Season 4, a great feeling to have once again after the disappointing first 6, in my opinion, of Season 3.

Loved it! Honestly...one of the best episodes in LOST history. I gave it a sweet 10 outta 10.

Wow, this episode felt like the REAL season premiere.

They're definitely taking the show in a new direction, and every scene is now adding significantly to the big picture, the way the show did during its first season.

Plus I LOVE the new music for the freighties. Excellent stuff!

The introduction of each of the freighties' backstories were BRILLIANT. That's what I liked most about it.

The episode is brilliant and very interesting and the new characters are really great. Charlotte seems kind of expendable to me, but she may change. I loved how Hurley was able to see the cabin and Locke seemed surprised. People are mentioning how the writers are doing a great job and I agree with that. The writers are doing agreat job because the material is very fun to work with and is inspiring to them. I'm sure they are happy not to be writing for Law & Order or something, I know I would be less inspired to write great tv if I was a writer...

Loved the episded. Much better than episode 4x01, and that one was good.

Well, that episode was positively earth-shattering. I felt like I was watching a whole new show, so many questions; it's like a door has opened into a corridor of a dozen more. Completely alien. Really good, though. I just feel like everything I take for granted about Lost is somehow subverted. I can't wait for next week.

I had started to post on the NEUTRAL thread . . . until I realized that I liked the episode. A lot. Come to think of it, I haven't enjoyed LOST this much since early to mid Season 2.

I loved it, it was extremely thought provoking, I really like the new characters. I think they are a fine addition to the cast. I cant wait until the new episode. :)

I adored this episode...I have about a million theories and none of them make sense. Anyway, I'm enjoying the ride even more than usual, which is pretty impressive because it wasn't one of our original Losties-centric episodes--and my heart tends to be with those characters. Yay to the writers, yay to the actors established and new, and yay to LOST.

Loved this episode. Thought the underwater scene opener was great, really messed with my mind. Why was Daniel crying, who is Ben's "man" on the boat. Lots of questions. Will def have to watch this episode again. :grin:

I thought this was a great episode. I liked the new characters and the way they were introduced. I think that the new questions that the episode raised will have interesting answers. I also loved the fact that Ben has once again proved that he's a couple of steps ahead of everyone else in the planning department.

Best ep yet. Made me wonder, though, were 4x01 and 4x02 originally meant to be played on one day? That would have been a fantastic double bill. (although we'd have missed out on all the speculation last week :biggrin: )

I had to tape this episode of LOST.... (so I could watch Gordon Ramsey yell at stupid restauranteurs), and LOST is better if I can rewind bits of it!) but I did manage to catch the last five minutes of it. (I have to make sure I tape ALL of it).

If the rest of the episode is like the last five minutes then WOW :eek2: what a jaw dropper! It looks line no more Mr (Ms) Nice Passengers... these Losties mean business. I would be curious to see whether the Losties turn Ben over to the Freighter dudes, as much as they hate him... which is the bigger threat? hmmm :ohwell:

I am happy to report that I have now watched the entire episode...and the WOW still stands.
This season looks like it will be very promising...Even my sister (a later day LOST fan) said (as the Bad Robot ran across the screen) "Aaaagh this is good stuff...oh I'm just going to have to watch next weeks ep."

This episode had a few odd elements, but it also had Daniel Faraday stealing the show. Frank Lapidus was also pretty good.

Who are these people? This is amazing writing and acting -- to get our attention after 3 seasons of Lost. You'd think we'd seen it all, but no.

I love Faraday with his skinny tie and Miles's sarcasm the best, so far. But I keep wondering about Lapidus - supposed to be pilot of 815? And Charlotte, with that Dharma polar bear? So many questions and, like others said, a fast-paced show. I loved it!

This was a great episode. I hope that upcoming episodes this season follow up on it.
