Jynes 03-06-2008, 11:04 PM Loved it! Loved it! Loved it! The best episode of the season as far as I'm concerned. Ben has just stepped up the creep factor with his obsession with Juliet. The Charles Widmore reveal was great too. And the ending lol that has to be the funniest ending to an episode of LOST.
benmanrocky 03-06-2008, 11:07 PM Another good episode, Ben was shown to be even more of a creep
palomino_grl78 03-06-2008, 11:08 PM I loved this episode! Ben manipulated Locke once again, Daniel was the hero and Jack and Juliette just proved that they are the unequivacable love story of the show. I have never seen a more romantic moment on tv than their kiss.
I also loved the confirmation that Charles Widmore was Ben's nemesis.
driveshaft76 03-06-2008, 11:10 PM Good, but not great. Loved the ending with Ben -- "See you at dinner!"
Miles ahead of Eggtown, but falls way short of The Economist and The Constant.
Seemed more like a filler episode to me. A good one, but filler nonetheless.
Uvajed 03-06-2008, 11:10 PM This episode was like the old, whispers, Ben, Locke, even Kate, I was kind of missing her. The Jack-Juliet kiss was awkward, they should have built the relationship up more.
Punky 03-06-2008, 11:15 PM After last weeks absolutely fantastic episode, I was ready to be a little let down.
Not the case at all.
Brilliant. You writers rock!
:kicking:
LostGirl68 03-06-2008, 11:30 PM I thought tonites episode was good. It wasn't up to par with last week though. I don't necessarily believe that Widmore is definitely ben's nemesis because its hard to believe Ben, but we shall see.............
Diesels Blitz 03-07-2008, 12:05 AM One of the best episodes ever! I love that we found out that Widmore is in charge of "the bad guys" trying to locate the island. Then we got the Others perspective from season 2 with the tailies, Ana-Lucia, Goodwin, etc. I love when they show scenes like this to satisfy what we were thinking about back in season 2. And of course more of Ben and how he can't be stopped! Glad the whispers were back too!
Chip McDougal 03-07-2008, 12:42 AM Not the best episode, but I liked it....gave alot of back story regarding ben and juliet's relationship...guess we know why he wasn't invited to the book club
heatherlar 03-07-2008, 12:45 AM I loved this episode, mostly because Elizabeth Mitchell and Michael Emerson totally rock. The pace did seem to slow down a bit from last week, but that's ok. I like that we're getting pieces of the puzzle in small doses.
Ben in the 'dinner party' scene = fabulously creepy
The Jack and Juliet moment at the end was just lovely. I like these two together!
I have some questions about this episode, but perhaps I'll pose them in a more appropriate thread.
lockesmithe 03-07-2008, 01:03 AM Lost is moving along now at a good pace. Ben's manipulation of Locke is nearing completion, with Ben now on the loose. Not a good thing for Locke (no more chickens--hehe), or Jack for that matter. Loved the Widmore reveal, but not sure who is the bad guy. Perhaps Widmore truly is behind the freighter, but could Widmore be trying to stop Ben from using the island for evil purposes?
Poor Ben--in control of so much, but can't get anyone to love him. Not Alex. Not Penny. Ben stalking Juliet worse than Charlie stalking the new mother, Claire--only more desperate and one-sided. And it doesn't look like Ben ever got Juliet's attention in the way Charlie finally did. Harper, or whoever the therapist was, mentioned that Juliet looked just like "her." Who is "her?" Ben's mother?
Elizabeth Mitchell is always a treat to watch on screen. This episode showed how much Juliet has adapted to the island, a prison without bars. When we first met Juliet off-island, she seemed meek. For her to adapt to the stresses of the island (and being an other) took some real change. I just wonder what despicable island behavior she has now referred to twice--first to Sayid, and now to Jack. Could she have, on her own, informed Michael that he had two jobs to do? Free Ben and kill Ana Lucia (provided she learned who killed Goodwin)?
At the end, we apparently learn that Daniel and Charlotte are trying to remove Ben's ability to gas the island. And Juliet, Jack, and Kate are satisfied with the explanation. The real mission of those aboard the freighter and the stakes involved are still unknown. Heck, we don't even know if the ability to gas the island really existed, or if more was disabled than the gassing mechanism. Perhaps removing Ben's ability to gas the island (and whatever else) opens up the island to attack. I'm guessing the introduction of the Tempest tonight is something we'll visit again. I don't think it's as black-and-white as it was portrayed tonight. It would be pointless filler if the Tempest system was introduced and de-activated in the same episode.
Thanks to Elizabeth Mitchell for an excellent episode--she has been in the background all too frequently this season. And I like Charlotte, but I hope she gets her due from Juliet or Kate at some point.
Meano Franko 03-07-2008, 02:06 AM Harper, or whoever the therapist was, mentioned that Juliet looked just like "her." Who is "her?" Ben's mother?
I think that this was foreshadowing Annie. Ben's first love. We know they were childhood friends and she's not around anymore but Ben still carries the doll she gave to him. My guess is that they were in love and Annie got pregnant and died. This fuels Ben's obsession to solve the island's fertility problem. Juliet can do that and looks like Annie so it's a perfect fit, for Ben, not Juliet. We shall see.
Claudia815 03-07-2008, 02:06 AM Tom and his moustache are so much love. Missed ya, huggy bear!
I didn't like Andrea Roth's performance and there were a couple of other things that bugged me as well, but all in all it was an enjoyable episode. I like Otherville flashbacks and Ben...
Ben + Baby Vegetables is just about the most disturbing thing since... since he was contemplating Juliet's hair earlier in the episode. Ick, ick, ick. I love him.
lockesmithe, I agree about the Tempest. Since we see Ben in the future, it appears he outsmarts Widmore even without the aid of lethal gas, but at what cost?
lockesmithe 03-07-2008, 02:24 AM think that this was foreshadowing Annie. Ben's first love. We know they were childhood friends and she's not around anymore but Ben still carries the doll she gave to him.
Thanks. Forgot about her.
I agree about the Tempest. Since we see Ben in the future, it appears he outsmarts Widmore even without the aid of lethal gas, but at what cost?
Not sure, but after tonight's episode, I don't think Ben has a chance of being a "good guy" in a gray world. I think Ben and Widmore are both bad guys battling for the island.
Selene1212 03-07-2008, 02:44 AM I loved it. Best episode this season.
Claudia815 03-07-2008, 03:10 AM Not sure, but after tonight's episode, I don't think Ben has a chance of being a "good guy" in a gray world. I think Ben and Widmore are both bad guys battling for the island.
Oh, I never drank the "we're the good guys" KoolAid. In fact, I'm a little... unimpressed with the "rich capitalist man exploits virgin purity of Mother Nature" clichee at the moment and want to believe there's more to it than that. Widmore is already stinkin rich and the idea that he's in it for the money is simply uninteresting to me. Once more, we only have BEN's word and his perspective about Widmore's intentions. Obviously, Sayid is protecting his friends from Ben's enemy so they're far from choir boys, but that doesn't make Ben good, it just makes him a different kind of opportunist.
How great was that last shot of Ben anyway? Chapeaux to Michael Emerson!
Devera 03-07-2008, 03:44 AM I loved this episode, mostly because Elizabeth Mitchell and Michael Emerson totally rock. The pace did seem to slow down a bit from last week, but that's ok. I like that we're getting pieces of the puzzle in small doses.

Well said!
Ben + Baby Vegetables is just about the most disturbing thing since... since he was contemplating Juliet's hair earlier in the episode. Ick, ick, ick. I love him.
Agreed! It was interesting to see him completely lose his cool a couple of times...and then detach and go back to his calculating ways.
Widmore is already stinkin rich and the idea that he's in it for the money is simply uninteresting to me. Once more, we only have BEN's word and his perspective about Widmore's intentions.
The interesting thing to me is he didn't even claim that the reason he gave was the real reason Widmore wanted to find the island. He did one of his "supposes." It was like, "suppose someone was really interested in you, John Locke, and you are really, really special--wouldn't everyone want to come and make a zoo out of seeing you"? He didn't say that was the real reason! However, he knew it would be an answer that John would like.
I loved the episode. I thought it was up there with the majority of the rest of the season. It was a great episode. I mentioned a lot more specifics about why I loved it on the "Rate It" thread. Yay to the writers and crew. Major props to Mitchell and Fox. And Michael Emerson as Ben? I don't care how evil he is, he is just too fascinating to watch...love it!
Jupiter63 03-07-2008, 04:05 AM I loved more than I hated so here goes. I loved Juliet. I loved Jack. I loved Jack/Juliet. There was a real genuineness to the Jack/Juliet moments that I loved. They weren't over the top lovesick, but they were tender and sweet, so very real to me. I liked them ending with a hug that she seemed like she desperately needed rather than a makeout session.
I hate the quadrangle and its inane ambiguity so I was glad that they cleared the air so much before defining a new side. I give them props for that. Kate told Jack why she stayed at the Barracks and made no mention of Sawyer. Jack had no reason to feel jealous or think she'd chosen Sawyer over him. He also knew she had been on her way back to the beach rather than choosing to stay once she had her information (It would have been so easy to throw in the banishment and muddy that did she really want to come back question up for him). Juliet told Jack she had feelings for him and told him about Ben's obsession with her so he knew the score there, positive and negative. Jack chose to kiss Juliet and he did so with more complete information and less ambiguity than I think any of these four have ever made a quadrangle decision with. I appreciated that.
I liked Harper and I liked that she was no more fond of Juliet now than she was in the past. I love Juliet, but I liked that they made no effort to smooth over her choice to have an affair with Goodwin. She knew about his wife from the beginning. Her choices are hers there.
I liked the scenes at the Tempest though they felt very anti-climactic given how the episode was structured. It looked like a very cool place and that was a heck of a girl fight.
The acting. Elizabeth Mitchell and Michael Emerson in particular were great.
Ben's creepiness. Locke is an idiot. As Ben said, and Juliet is obviously aware of, Ben always has a plan. And there's always more with him.
There were some great lines.
My biggest problem with this episode was that IMO it should have been a Ben episode. The FB story of his obsession was his emotional progression, not Juliet's. Juliet spent the whole episode reacting to where he was at emotionally rather than telling her side and how she progressed from crying in the lab to distant and refusing to take Ben's bait with Ana-Lucia. What convinced her Ben would have such a huge problem with Goodwin? Why did she choose to be the other woman with Goodwin? Where was her decision to finally fight back? To be secure enough to let Michael and Walt go against his wishes? To kill him? Where was the joining of the other faction she talked about working with? Where was the Juliet who felt enough in control to annoy Ben using his obsession in the Pearl by calling Jack cute? Where was powerful member of the community Juliet that other Others answered to or even relevant member Juliet, dealing with the children and the pregnancies? Where was desperate to get home Juliet? There was nothing tonight from Juliet's perspective that wasn't reactionary, and it was very narrowly focused on how she reacted to Ben's changes in this one specific issue as he progressed, ignoring all the other things she was going through like missing Rachel, worrying about her cancer, and dealing with the pregnancy deaths. And her reactions tonight were just to cry over and over again, and be portrayed as helpless over and over again as we followed Ben's emotional story. I just don't feel like I actually know much more about Juliet from this time like I do Ben.
Heiots 03-07-2008, 04:26 AM I agree with every single thing you said.
lockesmithe 03-07-2008, 04:33 AM Widmore is already stinkin rich and the idea that he's in it for the money is simply uninteresting to me.
I agree--there's more than money at stake here.
Obviously, Sayid is protecting his friends from Ben's enemy so they're far from choir boys, but that doesn't make Ben good, it just makes him a different kind of opportunist.
Yes. Sorry you missed out on the kool-aid. Maybe next time.
How great was that last shot of Ben anyway? Chapeaux to Michael Emerson!
Ben with Sawyer and Hurley looking on. Indelible image.
Sawyers Mojito 03-07-2008, 05:03 AM I really liked this, I felt pain for Juleit, always being the other woman, But that Jacket Scene was beautiful.
And oooh creepy Ben!
PenguinLove 03-07-2008, 07:02 AM I loved it, we got some nice revelations about who's behind the frighters and Juliet and Ben's history which I've been wanting to know about. Love creepy Ben!!! Wouldn't want to be in Juliet's shoes when he showed her her dead lover and said "you're mine" oi!
Nice to see Tom too!! And his mustache!
"See you at dinner" lol!
UnsungHero108 03-07-2008, 08:30 AM In my opinion it certainly was the most enlightening (as far as main storyline goes), but I still think The Constant was better.
lostandfound13 03-07-2008, 08:30 AM Hey we got some answers! That is why I loved it...
sawyer4ever 03-07-2008, 08:34 AM I loved this episode. Ben is very creepy with Locke, and it seemed like foreshadowing when he said how the revolution starts, now that Claire has questioned him, Sawyer and Hurley will be next. Loved the Jacket scenes. Jack doesn't seem to have any trust issues with Juliet when he told Kate to go with Charlotte and he stayed outside. And Juliet told him the truth. The kiss and hug was so sweet!
dvd32355 03-07-2008, 08:54 AM Okay loved it!!!! But more questions! thanks!
Zatherran 03-07-2008, 09:37 AM serious bad taste in my mouth over this one.. ben in his control over juilet. juilet being just as controlling. I just know that it was like a rollacoaster ride.. going from a great epi with desmond finding penny to this one which was dark.
I sometimes find myself pouncing from one side to the other. never quite sure who to believe.. now are the others good or bad. is witmore good or bad. the only person i have faith in is Jack. he stays true to form and choices. locke is like a yo yo.
great acting again, great writing. I give it a 10 for the fact that Ben showed Juilet goodwin's body - what a jerk. he learned well from his father.
tweet 03-07-2008, 09:42 AM I loved this episode mostly thanks to the amazing EM. Juliet is such a strong and mysterious character.
Ben was creepy and I liked it. I love the others.
The Jack and Juliet scenes were cute, I love them together. But do we have a love pentagon now?
Blue Coral 03-07-2008, 10:13 AM It wasnt the best episode in my opinion but I liked it. Problems I have, it was insane for Charlotte to knock Kate out, totally unecessary. And then Charlotte fighting Juliet and at the end acting like Juliet is the one with the horns?? Ah, okay Charlotte, you started that fight, did you not? And I agree with an earlier post that it should have been a Ben-centric episode.
Other than that, Ben was so manipulative it was great lol. He's just so creepy and so underhanded and very psychotic. He creeps me out but also in a funny way, I dont know how else to explain it. That 'See you at dinner' line with that big goofy smile on his face just made me laugh. Ben really did make the episode and I thought the Jacket stuff was sweet at the end. Oh and I got to see Sawyer too so...
sullen entropy 03-07-2008, 10:15 AM for what it's worth, i decided to register just so i could post about how much i loved this week's episode.
i have to admit that i'm in the minority when it came to last week's episode - i wasn't thrilled with it. i'm not a fan of being incredibly confused by time travel-ish scenarios - there are enough mysteries to address on the island. this episode brought so much of the old, wonderful stuff back - the whispers, dharma, widmore, perhaps even smokey...
besides, an episode without benjamin linus is like a day without sunshine. i do agree that it might have been better to have this as a ben-centric episode, but then again, i wish every episode was ben-centric. he is, without a doubt, the most fascinating character on lost, and tv as a whole right now (sorry dexter). i can't get enough of his back story. more ben, please...
kudos on a great episode.
Dreamin 03-07-2008, 10:27 AM Great episode! I thought the Ben/Juliet storyline was very creepy but excellent in that it gave us insight into his motivation for keeping Juliet his "prisoner" on the island. Ben has a lot to learn when it comes to romance. Then there was Jack. I was so happy that Jack finally made the moves on Juliet! I loved their kiss and the way they held each other afterward, so sweet!! These two are a great match and I love watching them together.
I can't wait to see what happens with Ben and Locke now that he is no longer tied up in the basement. And what is going to happen with Desmond now that we know Widmore is the man behind the freighter folks. Can't wait for next week!
i_wana_get_lost_with_starla 03-07-2008, 10:40 AM Loved it.
Could have been a little better, but still a great epi imo.
Loved the Juliet FB's, and it was great to see Tom again.
Harper was cute ; ).
"Welcome to Craphole Island, ill be your host this evening" ; )
lost_gypsy 03-07-2008, 10:53 AM Bravo! I like the faster pace and I appreciate more information coming out that moves the plot forward and answers some questions.
bcs7583 03-07-2008, 11:07 AM I enjoyed this episode quite a lot. Hard to follow-up last week's masterpiece, but it was nice to get back to the island. I felt we learned a lot too, which is always good. Not everything was earth shattering, but I love learning things about characters that shed light on past scenes. The more layers the better, IMO.
Nice to see Ben walking around freely too. Interested to see how Locke's Losties react to that move.
count me in. probably the most underrated episoe of Lost, ever. As of now.
lostlocke 03-07-2008, 11:43 AM Loved the episode. It was good to see a little of Ben and Juliet's "history" that was mentioned back in season 3. I keep being surprised by how maniacal Ben is! I don't know why though.
Darbi 03-07-2008, 12:41 PM I enjoyed this episode quite a lot. Hard to follow-up last week's masterpiece, but it was nice to get back to the island. I felt we learned a lot too, which is always good. Nope, not earth shattering, but it would be impossible to follow last week's episode and expect the same intensity, no matter how good. Juliet and Benry's relationship is definitely a strange one. She really is in a no win situation as long as Benry's alive.
I missed Rousseau and Alex in this episode. Rose and Bernard too.
Elizabeth Mitchell and Michael Emerson are golden on screen together. Love their interplay. Sweet scene with Juliet and Jack at the end. I really enjoy the maturity and genuine respect in their dynamics.
Good episode.
telee 03-07-2008, 12:59 PM I liked it . The past few weeks have been so great that maybe this was not as good but I still liked .
Felaries65 03-07-2008, 02:41 PM Although not as good as last week's episode, I still thought it was pretty good. I have this feeling that Cuse and Lindehof are trying to focus our attention upon Ben as the ultimate bad guy and drop our guard in regard to the Freighters. Don't forget. Daniel had that gas mask from the moment he first landed on the island. How did he and Charlotte know that Ben or one of the Others would try to gas everyone else on the island?
Marystat 03-07-2008, 02:59 PM I enjoyed the episode, it wasn't as intense as The Constant but it was intense still, Juliet may still be a mystery and she may do whatever it takes to get off that Island but she is not out to hurt anyone unless there's no way out, she'd shoot Daniel and Charlotte in a heartbeat if she would. She sure is one badass lady though, she can fight!
As for the FB's I enjoyed them, I enjoyed the little we saw of the Goodwin/Juliet affair, the creepyness of Ben and I am feeling oddy sad for Locke being played by Ben like he is...Ben's playing Locke like a puppet on a string here cos Locke's so desperate to figure out the Island and it's mysteries..to understand it, he completely unaware of the (to me anyways) obvious alterior intentions that Ben has. Sorry Locke, dude you're being PLAYED in a major way!
losttvfan 03-07-2008, 03:25 PM Loved it. After the fast pace of The Constant, this was a nice change up. We have been seeing a lot of FF’s, Desmond flashing to the past and the present and in this episode, a FB. Juliet’s episodes are always good and Elizabeth Mitchell got to pull out every emotion in this one. None of her cool and calm faces, she put a range of feelings on the screen last night.. I loved the tender Jacket scene. Everything about it was beautiful and they even used that the music from SISL that was playing as Jack and Juliet stood together on the bow of the ship taking them to Otherville. Jacket has a love theme, just like Skate does.
The kiss was perfect under the circumstances. Juliet's face was injured in the fight and she didn't need a passionate kiss, she needed a tender one laced with caring. The Jacket hug reminded me of the beach reunion hug between Kate and Sawyer and Jack's comment about Ben knowing where to find him reminded me of Sawyer telling Kate he would keep her safe. Lots of parallels between Skate and Jacket last night. I like the way they are slowly building the relationship between Jack and Juliet and this was just the right step forward.
I was also pleased to see Jack cowboy up and kiss Juliet. Emotions were spilling out all over that scene and both EM and MF played it perfectly. The way they framed the hug at the end, through that long tunnel into the bright sunshine and green jungle was the first epic and romantic shot we have seen of Jack and a woman. It was the perfect way to launch a new phase of the Jacket story and move it to another level.

I registered that long shot of Jack and Juliet embracing and thought it was a lovely shot, but I didn't think about it further. I think them being outside in the sunshine is a really good metaphor, because I did feel a real sense of relief in them both at being able to cling to each other after both had known a long period of loneliness, which the tunnel signifies visually very well.
I found so much to like in this episode. It was a quiet episode, like Juliet, but with lots of depth and very satisfying to explore. I'm looking forward to rewatching it on the weekend.
Lobby 03-07-2008, 07:33 PM Whispers were back, visions giving advice were back, using all the Losties was back, finding a new hatch was back and in the end we learned the identity of the big bad of this show. Wow. To be truthful I enjoyed this episode more than the proceeding one but concede The Constant was more significant to mythology and the writing more lyrical. I cried at the end of TC but I rolled around the floor alternating LMAO and screaming "no" all through this one! This was a fun episode. Ben was just so...Ben!
-This episode told us who the big bad is: Widmore.
-It told us we would recognize the name of Ben's spy and it would surprise us. I won't tell you who I think it is (coughmichaelcough)
-We leaned Locke doesn't have a plan but Ben does. I'm betting Ben's plan will be presented as Locke's plan very soon
This episode was about manipulation and motivation. It showed us what motivates two of the major characters and what they are willing to do to get what they want.
Juliet manipulated Jack
Juliet manipulated Goodwin
Ben manipulated Juliet
Ben manipulated Locke
Charlotte manipulated Daniel
We learned a lot about Juliet this week. She had no qualms about sleeping with a married man :nono: and doubtlessly humiliating his wife in the process just because she needed a shoulder. She was willing to risk Goodwin's life and now is willing to risk Jack's life while she plays damsel in distress. Goodwin bought her act and now so is Jack.
Juliet has always been a female version of Ben. Meanwhile back at the barracks Ben is manipulating Locke with other carrots (although Bocke shippers would rather have him using the same carrot as Juliet I'm sure).
This episode was as much about Ben as Juliet. We learned that Ben does not know how to love. He had no role models as a child so his attempts to woe Juliet are childish (but so cute to watch:malelove:) and his reaction to her rejection is juvenile too. In the past we saw how Ben's possessiveness of Juliet is his Achilles heel. We learned how that started in this ep.
Random thoughts
-Loved that 3rd viewpoint of the plane crash. Hope someone puts them all together in a video for the S4 DVDs.
-Anyone think Ben has a number of safes in his house?
-Who did Juliet talk to in the rain? I doubt if it was Harper. It could have been Smokie since Juliet was recently "scanned". But she appeared (and disappeared) in the exact same way as tall Walt with the whispers proceeding her. How does she know about Ben? Is it the island talking?
-Daniel thought they were saving the island from Ben but he is being manipulated by Charlotte. What does she really want to accomplish at the Tempest?
Lines:
-This didn't have a number on it, did it?
-See you at dinner.
-I always have a plan.
Famous last words:
-What can Ben do? (spoken by Goodwin) :chair:
Clarisse aniston 03-08-2008, 12:25 AM I really liked the episode, everything about it!
The Ben/Locke scenes were amazing! Left me really excited for the next episodes and to find out who's on the boat! I also really liked the Juliet/Charlotte/Dan scene about Ben!
About the flashback, I only have three words...Ben is creppy! Seriously, I would not like to be in Juliet's place! We all knew she wanted to get off the island to be with her sister, but knowing about Ben's obsession with her, and how that makes it more unlikely that she can ever leave makes me understand much better how desperately she wanted to leave and her frustration when Ben exploded the submarine.
Not to mention the Jack/Juliet kiss, I agree with LostTvFan that it was the perfect kiss under the circunstances. The way it happened, it was so romantic! And then what Jack said after that, about Ben knowing where to find him, he won't let Ben keep him away from Juliet. And of course, then there was the hug, the way they were holding on to each other...beautiful!!
wtfsignmeup 03-08-2008, 03:43 AM Loved it! M.E seemed to be totally enjoying his role as Juliets' creepy suitor:)
Loved all the scenes with Juliet and Ben, they are great together as are Ben and Locke as usual.
Fantastic final scene with Sawyer, Hurley and Ben in Othersville "see you at dinner"
Jack and Juliets scene together outside of the station was perfect
Trevski 03-08-2008, 07:49 AM I really enjoyed this episode, just as much as last week's mindbender. It felt very season 3!
BlackLotus 03-08-2008, 03:36 PM i really liked the way this episode was woven into the story we already know - lots of stuff confirmed and clarified - im surprised at the amount of negative reaction but i guess this was one for the fans that really know lost and could appreciate the attention to detail.
ME is awesome as ben yet again
tose123 03-09-2008, 04:36 PM I love it this episode it was great.
Occono 03-10-2008, 09:58 AM I also really like this episode. I think most of the complaints in the negative thread are just becoming a general "What's wrong with Lost?" thread again. :( Also I don't like TT so it's nice there was none of it in this ep.
I think it showed the Others in an interesting way seeing as they're the "bad guys" of the show....it makes them very complicatedly bad, which I love.
Also, Goodwin was hot......
Newlostfan_Dale 03-10-2008, 11:49 AM Another great episode, it just keeps getting better and better
bearsgonefishin 03-11-2008, 03:18 PM I loved it too. I dont think I have ever complained about an episode of LOST. Best show on regular TV.
Beta27 03-11-2008, 10:31 PM I love this episode. I've been telling my girlfriend "I own you" for the past week.
jheri 03-12-2008, 10:12 PM Very very interesting as always.
Nasreen 03-19-2008, 01:23 AM oh man, this was my favorite too! I've always liked Juliet over Kate and it was cool how she kinda stepped up and outshined kate (c'mon.. she's gotten more than enough attention) And Daniel, he's so awesome!!!
KDLOST 04-22-2008, 07:18 PM I mean, it's hard to follow an episode like the Constant... but this one definitely was rich... it answered a few questions and also rounded out Juliet's character ... she makes sense to me now. (As much as anyone on this show CAN make sense at this point. lol) I actually like her now, and I'm intrigued! Kudos!
Ebdim9th 06-18-2008, 07:18 PM This episode was a gas... a deadly gas... Thank God for Farraday!!
Merch 07-11-2008, 06:46 PM This one was out of place in the strike messed up season. It wasn't bad, I like Juliet's character, but you could remove this episode from the season and you wouldn't lose much. They introduce Harper, but that's all we get. If she's going to play some part in Juliet's story arc, the arc of the others; if juliet has key plot points that happen with her story why not a) devote some more time to her this season, even if it's offhand info from someone else's episode or b) tie it in better with the episodes that follow.
I know the show was already in the can when the strike happened, and I'm sure there probably was an intended tie in somewhere down the line if the season ran normal, but it irks me. Juliet's got some depth. The scene when she flips kate over her back and after ducking the pool cue in left behind is classic. She has to be one of the main's now that the group is split up.
Daniel and charlotte and the the freighter four are intriguing as well, I was just looking for a bit more in the episode. And I'm tired of that plane crash scene in New Otherton being recycled once again to add in another character.
Still far better than any boone and shannon episode though
