It was unsettling for me. I will think about it and figure it out. Right now I am very sad, it was an engrossing episode.

Are you saying it's sad bc you think he died? Or because Sun and Hurley can't see Jin?

In many ways I loved this episode bc we got some answers, but ...
the last part was confusing for me. Was Jin's flashes from the past, or were they for the future in addition to Sun's? Was Jin's "death" a way he could get married to someone else? What is going on!?

When Jack testified at Kate's trial he mentioned that 8 survived the crash but that 2 later died. Obviously, Jin is supposed to be one of those 2, and the flashback to the beginning of his marriage with Sun was there just to try to confuse us - it added nothing to the story.

You know it can't be a flashforward to a future marriage, because he wouldn't still be working for Sun's father.

I thought it was a night of mixed emotions. Shock when I saw Michael on the boat, anger when Juliet told Jin about Sun's infidelity,Happiness when Jin delivered a healthy baby girl, sadness when we realized that Jin was dead and as always much confusion...but It was great! I Loved it!

Not so obvious to me, as his date of death on the tombstone is the same date as the crash (9/22?/04). Are you saying he survived the crash only to die later that day?

I found it confusing and the FB of Jin was at this point unnecessary. It was like filler that was supposed to make us think he was on the way to his child's birth...what good did it do us other than waste time that could have explored things we are curious about.

I know he said that SOME survived the crash but died of their injuries, and if we see that Jin is dead and buried back in Korea, then he must be one of the people Jack was talking about.

I wish I could listen to Jack's testimony at Kate's trial again right now, though, because all of a sudden I am beginning to wonder;

Didn't Jack say that 8 survived the crash and that 2 died later?
If so, Aaron can't be one of the O6 because he wasn't born yet, and the O6 must be Kack, Kate, Hurley, Sayid, Sun, AND MICHAEL.
But where's Walt? Still killing birds and doing other weirdness on the island? Hiding aboard and sabotaging the freighter?

I wasn't sure what to expect out of this episode. The episodes this season have been falling into two simple categories: solid, even above average episodes or episodes that polarize the audience in a huge way. Thankfully this is the former rather than the latter. Considering that the two focal characters did not start out as favorites of mine, it's amazing to think how much that has changed. The end of this episode had me just a bit weepy, and that almost never happens!

Lost 4.7: Ji Yeon (http://www.entil2001.com/series/lost/season4/lost4-7.html)

Overall, this episode gives focus to two characters that have been out of the limelight for far too long, fleshing out the flash-forward status quo in the process. Though this episode is largely transitional in nature, the format provides surprises and small revelations keep the season arc moving. One major revelation was sadly all too predictable, but the writers managed to make up for it.

The episode was ok. Some lovely moments encased by tired pacing and overall feel.

At this stage, and for the first time, I'm feeling very undecided about the direction Lost has taken. Part of the reason undoubtledy lies with the fact that there are now so many different seperate factions etc involved and keeping emotionally engaged to them all is proving rather more of a trick.

You have the beach losties (divided into new guys and the older losties), the boat losties and new introduced crew, the othersville losties, the 'others', the oceanic six...it is quite a change from the losties vs 'others' simplicity of days gone by. Not that I have anything against change but there appears to be a distinct danger of creating such a polyphony of seperate stories that a curious mixture of muddiness and (strangely) emptiness pervades the atmosphere. By emptiness I also include the fact that everywhere seems to be rather deserted, devoid of other fringe losties who might not have played a part but kept up the illusion of other people being stranded as well as the main guns.

I've loved Lost since the day I started watching it but at the moment it feels like it needs tidying in a way I've never felt about it before. Hell, maybe I'm just missing Charlie!.

This was a watchable episode that gave us a little information. The things I liked about it were small things. Sun confronting Faraday. Jin and Bernard fishing. And another freighter person self destructing.

As far as the various factions go, I think it will be easier to keep them in order once the two big guns - Ben and Widmore - define themselves a little better. Really I think there are only those two factions and a lot of innocents in between. Jack and Locke, by comparison, might as well be fighting over Whoville.

After the amazing beginning to the season, the last two episodes have been sub par in comparison. I have complete faith that the producers and writers will turn this season into the fast paced season they promised, however, the sooner the better.

One very cool thing the writers did for us obviously was add the new dimension of 3 simultaneous timelines (FB, current, and FF). Hopefully this is a tool they will use more in the coming episodes.

I don't have a problem with FFs or FBs as a general rule, but what I don't like is when they use them to just play silly games.

The Sun & Jin overlapping FF/FB contained a pointless FB; the only reason for including it was to confuse us, and there are enough confusing details already without them manufacturing new ones that don't tell us anything other than the fact that Jin ran errands. Ho hum.

They can and should use them to advance the story, and I hope they return to doing so.

I don't most people are still discussing episode two of this season, but the topic of pictures and frames in the home Miles went to has been nagging at me. Can anyone get a screenshot of Miles in the bedroom at 16:06 running time (based off abc's episode player). There's a baseball trophy, looks like the top line of the engraving says Most Value Player, sitting on the desk with the name of the kid on it.

Or if someone with a better tv/monitor can get a better a look at it and see if they can make something off it. It looks to me like the first name should be readable with a closer or perhaps larger view.

Sorry about posting in the Ji Yeon thread, which i'm still on the fence about. To me it seems they writers/creators may be "lost" themselves. Don't get me wrong, it's great the show is back and there have been some interesting story developements, but trying for a cliff hanger in each episode seems to me like a gimmick new shows would try to do. There's already a fan base. Give us a twist or a curveball through out the season but to put a "cliffhanger" at the end of each one in an attempt to build tension or suspense is unnecessary. We're here. We get it. All these cliffs and some people are going to start jumping off them.

With any luck not literally.
