GettinLost 01-31-2008, 11:30 PM No man - remember the car he and his dad rebult together??? I think he's more into the classics. Burnt Sienna 01-31-2008, 11:33 PM No man - remember the car he and his dad rebult together??? I think he's more into the classics. Forgot about that. Still, didn't he bring his mom to the new house in a hummer? Selene1212 01-31-2008, 11:44 PM No man - remember the car he and his dad rebult together??? I think he's more into the classics. :biggrin:I think that WAS the car that he rebuilt with his father. The car that Hurley and his dad rebuilt is a Camero, the car that Hurley was driving tonight. silveranswer 02-01-2008, 01:19 AM He did have a hummer in 'Numbers'. He used it to drive his mom to the house he bought that burnt down. Hurley has an eclectic taste in transporation Bosshogg 02-01-2008, 02:08 PM It reminded me of the old Starsky and Hutch car, not sure what model that one was. Actually the whole car chase seemed to come out of a S&H episode HeadFirstForHalos 02-01-2008, 03:13 PM He did have a hummer in 'Numbers'. He also likes bright colored cars. BuffyMars 02-01-2008, 04:24 PM Yeah, that's how I knew it was him. That's the car from his flashback (Trisha Tanaka Is Dead) LostMyMarbles 02-01-2008, 04:28 PM I'm surprised nobody has commented on the genius film editing of the opening scene. We were set up to think the fugitive was Kate--smallish hand opening the door, the person seen from the back with the brown ponytail. It never occurred to me it could be Hurley. Thats an interesting point, although I didnt think that while watching it. The car gave it away for me, also I had heard rumors the episode would be Hurley centric..haha. Although I really did like the whole scene. Especially how it was all intense and crazy and then calmy cut to Jack getting ready for work. 100% I'm surprised nobody has commented on the genius film editing of the opening scene. Expressway. EdMuse 02-02-2008, 09:48 PM Looked just like the Dukes of Hazzard car. It reminded me of the old Starsky and Hutch car, not sure what model that one was.The car on the Dukes of Hazzard was a Dodge Charger (as someone else kindly pointed out). Starsky and Hutch drove a Ford Gran Torino. And before anyone mentions it, Bullit drove a mustang. Hurley was driving a '71 (or thereabouts) Chevy Camaro. But, all three cars, S&H, the Dukes', and Hurley's car, were approximately the same color. Hurley's and the Dukes' were both orange, and S&H's was red (Bullit's was green, if I recall correctly). Exponent 02-02-2008, 09:51 PM As soon as I saw the out of control car it reminded me of Hurley coming to the rescue of Juliet and Sawyer and driving into one of the Others. :p DesmondMorris 02-02-2008, 10:52 PM http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GiAE0VzTQTM That would be "The Striped Tomato" from Starsky & Hutch Even the editing was similar to the opening credits in Starsky & Hutch in the 70s. I've actually been looking through the old episode recaps for some clues to Lost. Silly me. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bnyUjnoICnI ;) twinbad 02-03-2008, 12:41 AM I think the Starsky and Hutch car was an El Torino. Jack Sawyer 02-03-2008, 12:52 AM Anyone else sorta thing that the Hurley's car chase was the writers way of saying that, what with the fact that there was only 48 episodes left, and it was the "Beginning of the End", that they were essentially...."cutting to the chase"?:eek2: bakerboys 02-03-2008, 12:53 AM The car on the Dukes of Hazzard was a Dodge Charger (as someone else kindly pointed out).
