The Car on the Dukes of Hazzard is a Dodge Charger. The car that Hurley and his dad rebuilt is a Camero, the car that Hurley was driving tonight.

He did have a hummer in 'Numbers'. He used it to drive his mom to the house he bought that burnt down.

I'm surprised nobody has commented on the genius film editing of the opening scene. We were set up to think the fugitive was Kate--smallish hand opening the door, the person seen from the back with the brown ponytail. It never occurred to me it could be Hurley.

Thats an interesting point, although I didnt think that while watching it. The car gave it away for me, also I had heard rumors the episode would be Hurley centric..haha.

Although I really did like the whole scene. Especially how it was all intense and crazy and then calmy cut to Jack getting ready for work.

The scene reminded me of the whole deal with O.J. Simpon fleeing the police via the L.A. Expressway.

Hurley was driving a '71 (or thereabouts) Chevy Camaro. But, all three cars, S&H, the Dukes', and Hurley's car, were approximately the same color. Hurley's and the Dukes' were both orange, and S&H's was red (Bullit's was green, if I recall correctly).

As soon as I saw the out of control car it reminded me of Hurley coming to the rescue of Juliet and Sawyer and driving into one of the Others. :p

Even the editing was similar to the opening credits in Starsky & Hutch in the 70s. I've actually been looking through the old episode recaps for some clues to Lost. Silly me.

Anyone else sorta thing that the Hurley's car chase was the writers way of saying that, what with the fact that there was only 48 episodes left, and it was the "Beginning of the End", that they were essentially...."cutting to the chase"?:eek2:
