ok, so far, it looks like we now have 3-4 timelines on the show.
1 flashback-anytime BEFORE they reach the island
2 present-island time ,current happenings
3 future time-i call the 'if they got off the island' timeline (future kate/jack/hurley)-although the jack one is a bit skewed-he was drinking but not at the 'ive been flying alot' suicide stage yet
4 desmond time-id say right now his visions are of any possible timelines(but some events are set in stone) ie charlies death

this is gonna be interesting...

jack:
"I'm thinking about growing a beard"

I'd say the flash forward in this episode was at least a few months before the flash forward from before where Jack's gone nutso

At first I was thinking, Oh goody, Jack cleaned up his act and is now clean. But then when he said that he was thinking of growing a beard I knew that this was before the airport scene at the close of S3. Ummm....how many timelines are we supposed to be able to keep up with here? Are TPTB TRYING to drive us nuts?

I agree... Jack had not gone off the deep end yet. Obviously Hurley has.;)

Fourth dimension

There are three conventional spatial dimensions (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dimension): length (or depth), width, and height, often expressed as 'x', 'y' and 'z'. 'x' and 'y' axes appear on a plane Cartesian graph. In the 3rd dimension, a 'z' is used and is found in functions such as a "z-buffer" in computer graphics, for processing "depth" in imagery. The fourth dimension is often identified with time (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Time) in physics, and as such is used to explain the non-Euclidean (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Non-Euclidean) space-time (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Space-time) used in Einstein's theories of special relativity (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special_relativity) and general relativity (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/General_relativity).
