What would a return to Lost be without a poll?

Vote for your most shocking moment and discuss.

Well here are some shockers for me:

1- That only 6 made it off the island. I was counting on a lot more, so when Hurley said that I was shocked.

2- That Rose and Bernard went with Jack over Locke. I thought they agreed to remain on the island, which would make you figure they'd go with Locke. But Rose seemed almost hateful toward Locke even though they knew each other's secret.

hey guys...first time posting on these boards. watched seasons 1, 2, and 3 back to back the past 2 weeks because i had never seen any of the episodes (never been interested) but consider me hooked.

anyway, to me, the most shocking moment was Jack so quick to pull the trigger. i'm not surprised that he did it...but i was surprised that he did it within 5 seconds of their initial struggle. there was no suspense, no build up.....he took the gun, pointed it at Locke and the moment Locke started talking he pulled the trigger. it showed how fed up and pissed he was.....especially considering it looked like Locke spared his life after knifing Naomi.

I know he technically spared him, but still...

I'm still reeling from Locke firing a shot at Jack in the season 3 finale.

Remember the good old days when we all wondered when the Jack-Locke tension would finally come to a head?

if i remember correctly, Locke didn't fire at Jack....he fired at the phone either to destroy it or scare Jack away from it.

Yes, I think you're right.

I voted for Jack trying to kill Locke. I know that he said if Locke came back that he would kill him, but I was still very surprised that he pulled the trigger. Jack is still one of the few that hasn't murdered anyone and he almost put a bullet in Locke's head in front of dozens of people. I am very glad the gun wasn't loaded.

My second choice would have been Hurley choosing to go with Locke. I am very interested in seeing what makes him change his mind.

I chose "Charlie made an apperance". Though I'm not shocked that Charlie did make an apperance. I was thinking maybe they would show his body or something like that.

However, Charlie swimming to the window in Hurley's hallucination was very shocking. It gave me goosebumps.

If I had been uspoiled, the Oceanic Six and Christian Shephard would have definitely been the biggest shockers of the night.

Jack pulling the trigger for me. Even though I was completely spoiled for this episode and I knew it would happen. I think this is the exact moment that Jack started to break. Three months ago he would never have done that.

But the break will be slow. This is just the first chink in the armor

My choice: Other

The most shocking moment for me was Jack letting Ben go with Locke. He has to know that mostly likely Locke will untie Ben, which is not a safe thing for anyone else who chooses to go with Locke. I literally was like “OMG, you’ve got to be kidding me”.

I actually didn't find Jack deciding to kill Locke to be that shocking. A long time ago, I got the feeling that the conflict between the two would eventually come to that... so really it was pretty surreal, for me, watching it play out like that.

I was torn between Christian in the cabin and Charlie's appearance. I ended up voting for Christian but I really thought these were equally shocking.
Oh yeah - Hurley driving his beloved Camaro on a high speed chase because he freaked out in a store. Whut??!!!

I voted "Charlie Making An Appearance" I was thinking it could have been a Dharma Initiative walking into the store that made Hurley jump and run away, but it wasn't.. when Charlie (spirit/image) appeared I started to cry. Just seeing him walking towards Hurley was just amazing. I couldn't believe it was him at first. I was hoping to actually see him in this new Season sometime.. and it had to be the premiere! lol

The other shocking moments:

- Hurley off the island. Yeah, I thought he went with Locke too? He must have ran back to Jack's group to get rescued.

- Jack's revenge to kill Locke, but thankfully he didn't kill him. (But, even if he did.. Locke can't die.. but who knows what could have happened if he did kill him..)

- Naomi was still alive with a stabbed wound and later dies after calling her crew for a rescue. (thought she had died?) Freaked me out!! Didn't know what she was up to!

- When Hurley sees Christian Shepherd in Jacob's shack. More of a creepy moment.. than shocking.. I was closing my eyes a little at that part and when Hurley was freaking out and seeing things... than when Locke suddenly appeared.. God, that scared me even more!! LOL

- When Jack visited Hurley at the mental institution. Didn't expect that... was different seeing them actually chatting OFF the island.

- It also surprised me to hear Jack telling Hurley that he doesn't want to go back to the island.. when (at the ending of Season 3) he was telling Kate they should go back and that they had made a mistake..

Hurley shouted those same words to Jack when he was walking out.

Freaked me out to when I realized just what she had to do. Somehow, she had to get the knife out of her own back. (OUCH!) Crawl off with no one, but possibly Ben, noticing. Lay a false trail and then double back and climb a tree?? The Island has magical powers indeed for her to be able to do all that, attack Kate, lie for the Losties and leave a message for her sis before she really does die. Man! Tough chick!

:woohoo: 1000 posts! I was hoping to get there before the premiere, but, I'll take it!! :woohoo:

I stayed away from spoilers but 2 moments shocked me, seeing charlie again and jack trying to shooting locke in cold blood.

Jack pulling the trigger was it for me. I was truly shocked by that. I never, never though Jack could actually do it! (Plus, I figured, how could he, since they're not going to kill off Terry!)

Charlie was a close second though. I also gasped at the screen when he showed up. It was very nice to see him!

Charlie showing up was the most surprising for me. Not just him actually being there but the questions that it brings up. It was very surreal.

Hurley seeing Jacob and his roommate then being invited in, was definately shocking followed closely by Charlie off the Island and Jack the murderer, well Jack would have killed Locke if Locke hadn't emptied the gun.

hands down, jack squeezing the trigger. here is Locke on his back, telling Jack hes not going to do it and without even changing expression, no indication of rage, CLICK. it surprised Locke too.

Charlie at the police station "swimming" on the other side of the mirror. While I realize that this didn't happen at the police station it shocked me that Hurley would think of it in his head. It made me wonder...would Charlie's hand written message be different depending on who was looking?

Jack being 100 per cent ready to kill Locke in what was more or less cold blood had me floored.

I think the biggest shocker for me was having everyone stand there and not a single person asks Locke: "But WHY are these guys evil? And HOW do you know it? WHY should we foresake a rescue we're desperate for, just based on Charlie writing something we have no context for and the word of a man who has blown up every chance at rescue we got." Then I remembered LOST doesn't roll that way.

I've thought about it and Jack willing to kill Locke doesn't really surprise me. I think I know the exact moment when Jack snapped because Locke and Ben keep putting him in a position to make choices nobody should have to make. I was always impressed by how absolutely broken and devastated his voice sounds after he tells Tom that he's going to find him and kill him.

I'm not surprised because the answer to me is on his face when he tells Kate he had to let it happen. He had to let his friends die and had to make that choice. The road to the 6th St.Bridge started a long time ago and this was the big turning point that led to Jack trying to shoot Locke in the face. His hatered of Ben and Locke and anyone who puts him in a position to have to make that kind of decision is just what bubbles at the surface after three months of intense terror. He's terrified of a rescue that's so close, he can feel it and the possibility of losing it again and again and again (usually as a consequence of Locke blowing :censored: up) is simply too much for Jack. It breaks him.

He'll be fine, as we've seen in that moment when he acknowledges how sick he is of lying and how disgusted he is with himself, but now I'm even more excited to see what's going on with Jack before and after TTLG. I'm just so glad to see his story written the way it is.

charlie showing up was the most shocking to me. I wasn't all that shocked at Hurley choosing Locke's side or the fact that Jack was actually going to kill Locke. I hate him for it but I wasn't shocked. He just lost some of my respect by trying to shoot Locke as well.
