Did anyone else find it strange that one and only time Claire's baby cried in this episode was when Locke tryed to persuade the Losties to come with him? They also made it clear seconds later that Rose didnt trust Locke.
Planting seeds for a Locke turn maybe?

Aaron was also crying when Charlie was dying on the boat. (When Naomi received the signal)

Something is obviously up with Locke - in the flash forward he even apologized to Jack for going with Locke and not him...

Yep, I noticed both things and I think you're right to think both are significant.

I also think Locke had a "it's not supposed to be raining now?" look on his face when the downpour started.

There's plenty of reasons that Hurley might apologize for going with Locke, including just because Jack is there and apparently got at least the six of them off the island, and Hurley feels like he shoudl be greatful for that. In the end though, the main feeling is the they made a mistake, so I'm still with Locke until I get something pretty specific. I'm guessing things went wrong for his group, but probably as a result of something Jack did, not because Locke was wrong.
The look on his face when it started raining, to me, was just a recognition that they needed to get moving, that the helicopter would be there soon.

It developed into quite a heavy storm too, how often have we heard thunder?
I wondered if The Island might have been attampting to defend itself, although both Danielle & Desmond seemed to experience similar stormy conditions when they first got there so maybe that's just what happens when "unwanted" guests arrive?
Oceanic 815 came in with clear blue skies on the other hand, so maybe Hurley is right and "it" wanted them there/wants them back?
I'm so happy LOST is back!!!

I noticed that too. The 3 of them in quick succession - the baby, Rose's distrust and the rain. Definitely a warning of some sorts.

I definetly think Hurley's apology to Jack was just a sort of "you did so much for us on the island and you got me saved so I'm sorry I kind of betrayed you at that moment" apology not that Jack was right and Locke was wrong
I think from the season 3 flash forward Jack eventually does come around to think he (they) were wrong, and they were not supposed to leave... kate doesn't seem to think so but I'm sure she will come around too :P
