I believe that the song that is being played is "Moonlight Serenade" by Glenn Miller. The song has been featured in two episodes of Lost: "The Long Con" and "A Tale of Two Cities."

An interesting tid bit is that Glenn Miller was on a plane that disappeared over the English Channel in December of 1944. They never found his plane nor his remains. And if I remember correctly "Moonlight Serenade" wasn't the original title of the song it was going to be called "Now I Lay Me Down To Weep."
