View Full Version : Juliet's Agenda
maxaholic 02-07-2008, 11:18 AM In season 3 when Juliet first sat and talked with Jack, she read the file on his life back in the states making it clear that "they" knew everything about him. Kate, Locke and Sawyer also know that they have files on them. Soooo, if Juliet is really a nice, good girl, why wouldn't she tell Jack that Claire is his half sister and that Aaron is his nephew? They' ve supposedly become such good friends and she has turned her back on the "others", so what is she waiting on?
Sawyer89 02-07-2008, 05:21 PM Very good question. Although with all the drama going on at the moment with the freighter I really can't imagine it being touched upon in the early episodes.
benmanrocky 02-07-2008, 05:31 PM Maybe she was not granted complete acess to all the files.
COL_Richard 02-07-2008, 08:05 PM perhaps that lil tidbit, about Claire and Jack being siblings, isnt even in the files.
toddintexas 02-07-2008, 09:28 PM That was a pretty thick file. Even if she read the whole thing (which I doubt, Ben probably did though) I don't think she would remember everything in there. Good question though!
axpo23 02-07-2008, 09:41 PM Good question. I am sure that hasn't been the first thing on her mind. We've seen where she's waffled back and forth, so I still don't completely trust her. I hope that it will come out at some point, though.
It didn't appear from TTLG, that Jack was taking care of any small child, so maybe he won't find out. (I am just going on the assumption that if for some reason Claire didn't make it off the island, you would think that Uncle Jack would be next of kin type of thing to care for him.) I dunno.
Maybe TPTB forgot... j/k
maxaholic 02-08-2008, 11:02 AM i was just totally stoked when that episode aired revealing they were related that i couldn't wait until it was told to both. right though, it surely didn't seem that jack was taking care of anyone, let along a child!

She wouldn't need to read the whole thing. If she even got a peak at Clair's file (which she must have when pregnant Clair was kidnapped) she would almost have to have seen her father's name.

But you have to remember that Clairs Mum was having a affair with a Married man so she might have not listed the fathers name or listed someone she was with at the time of birth as Clairs father.

when they read sawyer's file, it noted that he had just recently murdered a man before he got on the plane. how would they have known that, especially if the murdered was unsolved. so, if they knew that, they would have known who paid for claire's mother's hospital bill and the fact that he was her father. they know everything!
Devera 02-26-2008, 02:10 AM I don't completely trust Juliet either, but to be fair with all the crazy action I don't think there has been any time for her and Jack to sit down and chat.
Nevertheless, I think there are a lot of things she could tell Jack that she probably wouldn't or won't--for whatever reason. She strikes me as more the type that might tell you if you ask--but I can't see Jack being like "oh, in that file, did my half-sister happen to be Claire Littleton?" ;)
I also have the feeling from the most recent flashforward that Jack still doesn't know in the future that he is related to Claire...maybe not true, but I get that feeling.
If Juliet was to tell Jack anything about Claire, I think the part about her having an implant that can be activated at will by the others might be a bit more pressing.
lostness 03-12-2008, 04:00 PM I also think Juliette is holding lots of things back from Jack. When Ben promised to let them leave in the sub, why would Juliette not tell Jack that Ben is obsessed with her and that Ben said, "You are MINE!". There is no way Ben would let Juliette just leave with Jack and she knew that.
CarpeDiem23 03-13-2008, 01:22 PM I understand this, but TBH i think even if Juliet knows this tidbit I would think you'd keep it quiet for the moment as it's an incredibly heavy piece of information. Family should be a joyous thing, i'd wait till they were off the island.
But yes Juliet could be a master manipulator....for me she would be close to insanity by now with one idea only; get off the island
I_Miss_Boone 03-18-2008, 12:48 PM My trust of Juliette is totally vanished - now that I've watched her be beaten, once again, to manipulate our Losties to her will.
It could be argued that it's Ben's will - but either way, anyone who is willing to take a physical beating, like Ben and Juliette, have zero trustworthyness.
My insitinct is alot will be explained when we find out where and when Juliette became a kung-fu master. Tend to forget how she ninja'd Kate!
Bella 03-19-2008, 05:31 PM Good question! But, like some of the others have said, there's a chance that Christian simply wasn't listed as Claire's father.
