Any ideas why Frank sees a cow? A big guy too.

I'm trying to remember if there were cows at Mikhail's place in Enter 77- certainly there were some farm animals IIRC.

It was a great reaction . . . knowing now that Frank is a bit of a drunk, it may not be the first time he's seen cows unexpectedly!

He could be seeing the cow as Kate saw the horse...

Odd that our survivors never ran across any random roaming cows, that would have fed the troops for at least a few meals!

The cow was at the Flame station last season before it was blown up.

I half expected Patchy aka Mikhail to come strolling up!

If I'm not mistaken (and I may very well be) cows are revered by Hindus. Also, I believe the Hindu religion supports the hollow earth theory. I could be wrong...

I always thought the "Flame Station" having the Cows was just Darlton's idea of the Others' "Burger King". Don't they have a burger called the BK Flamer? Being a vegetarian I'm more aware of their Spicy BeanBurgers.

And, on a more serious, but probably equally meaningless, note, I wondered if the Freighties come from some weird place, or the future or something, and that's why Charlotte was all psyched to be in that lake, and perhaps it was the first time Lapidus had seen a cow.

Well there have been a few references to Pink Floyd in Lost & I couldn't help but think of the Pink Floyd Album cover for "Atom Heart Mother" when I saw the cow. Although it's a brown cow & the cover is not it still made me think of Pink Floyd who indeed have had other references in Lost.

yeah I read that somewhere else, nothing much to substantiate it, but does have some real interesting potential if true. I'd explain that potential but nobody wants to read a book :biggrin:

You could be right too, just not sure of the point.
Since a cow is on the island it must be Hindu related
which in turn is a nod from the writers that the Hollow
Earth theory is what is being played out?!

The writers are at an impasse. They have their intrepid pilot FRANK at his point of greatest exhaustion. He must make it over a small hill before he can summon help, but he is completely devoid of energy. What is he to do?

The eyes of the WRITERS dash about the room, looking for some source of inspiration that can enable them to boost FRANK over that last hill. Simultaneously, they all settle their eyes on dozens of empty infused vitamin drink cans scattered about the writers' table. WRITERS (unison):

He sees a red bull! It gives him wings!

And lo, a smile crosses the lips of their muse.

And as a country boy born and raised, please for the love of God and Willie Nelson stop calling it a cow. That Frank called it a cow might be attributed to his city upbringing or a severe loss of blood. There is no excuse for the TiVo crowd to mislabel the poor animal. Go back and take a closer look. That ain't no udder.
