I have this feeling that Miles may lead us to more answers about Jacob and the whispers in the jungle. He was obviously chosen to go on this mission for a reason, and he has the whole ghostbuster thing going on, so I'm inclined to believe that maybe he is capable of somehow communicating with Jacob and/or the whispers in the jungle?

I'm on the same page as you. His whispering totally made me feel like something larger is at play.

The minute I realized he was a ghost buster, I thought the same thing, AS! I could just see him in Jacob's cabin but he wouldn't be able to use his "ghost buster". ;) I do think if he ever sees the cabin, it will be a spectacular scene!

Well, there must be some reason Abbadon chose him for the team. This definitely seems the most likely reason.

I base that more on the aggressive and personal way he wanted to know where HE is and then shoved the photo at Juliet and Jack. He really acts like this is more personal than just a mission.

Well firstly, we don't know what or who Jacob is. I don't see him as being a ghost. Secondly Ben and perhaps Locke now can communicate with Jacob and they don't talk to ghosts. Perhaps Miles will be able to communicate with Jacob but he isn't special for this since he wouldn't be the only one.

Think even if MIles wants to talk to Jacob he won't be able to. Jacob and his cabin have only appeared to a select few,Locke,Ben and now Hurley.

He obviously doesn't need that ghost buster machine thing (he "read" Naomi without it). I think that was all a part of his scheme to get money and to create noise so the people that hire him can't hear everything that goes on i.e. him moving the dresser to get to the money.

He really acts like this is more personal than just a mission.I think all of them have an official reason for being there (Miles is a ghost buster and the island is full of spirits) and a personal reason that will motivate them and complicate things (Miles may have a family member who was part of the Dharma Initiative). Personally from what we saw I think money motivates Miles. He is somewhat of a con artist. A con artist with anger issues but still just a con artist in it for the money.

Actually, Lobby, it should be spoiler fonted because this isn't the spoiler section and a thread I started about Minkowski got locked because people were griping about the spoiler font and a mod told them that things needed to be spoiler fonted and they argued with the mod. I think that is what we are all hoping for. The thing is Myles doesn't seem like a very likable or nice guy. If he is the one that can hear the wispers and talk to Jacob is he going to be nice or evil about his gifts and intentions

Yeah Ben, I don't think he can see them either. If anything, I believe Dan is a better candidate when it comes to being able to "see" Jacob.

Miles is such a jerk, I wouldn't mind seeing him trying to see Jacob and having 'ol Jacob to powerful, killing Miles.
