It makes me wonder if what he believes in is so important that he's willing to risk dismemberment or death for whatever it is? Ben may yet turn out to be a "good guy"...we don't yet know what he's protecting or why.

I've been fighting a losing battle with trying to argue that he really IS one of the "good guys" -- at least he absolutely believes so. I don't think that he is an evil person, but that he is protecting something that he is dedicated to.

Ben is the best, and someday we'll all appreciate him. That's my story and I'm sticking to it!
