Is that a hint that the island is not bathed in natural sunlight or that if it is sunlight that
it is diffuse? Lends more credence to the snow globe theory.

Yes, I know about Faraday's constant. I guess the supposition is that the light on the island is polarized. Just another clue that the island houses a big electromagnet of sorts. Not as interesting as I hoped. Lucidity 02-08-2008, 05:27 AM I haven't seen the Ep yet, but from what I gather, the other clue to a snowglobe or similar is that the Freighties said their helicopter was hit by lightning and we haven't seen any big storms recently on Craphole. bunnyman 02-08-2008, 09:16 AM I also think this lends credence to the snow globe/ hollow earth theory. Michael Faraday made many contributions to science, if the Nobel Prize had been around in his day he would have won several. The first contribution that comes to my mind is the Faraday Cage. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Faraday_cage A Faraday Cage shields the contents of the cage from external electromagnetic fields, and vice-versa. They are used in labs often for this purpose. This points to a world-within-a-world theory. Kate731 02-08-2008, 09:30 AM I also thought there was some significance to that line, but as has been said, it may just be another consequence of the magnetism. |
