Does anyone know if there is special significance to the name of the man on the golf course. I would have no idea how to spell it, so I'm not going to try. Thoughts about who he is? Did he just "happen" upon Sayid or did Sayid just "happen" upon him?

It sounded like Sayid called him Mr. Avenue...

So...what was the guy's name???

I got the impression that each of them was stalking the other . . . but the other wasn't sure he was "on" to him . . . .

They list him as "Italian Man" om IMDB. Sad.

The golf course was in the Seychelles, where I grew up :)

Though I assume it was actually filmed in Hawaii, Seychelles is far more beautiful ;)

The man didn't seem to recognise Sayid at all, not until he told him he was a survivor, then that triggered the panic button in the guy's mind.

I think it's quite obvious that Sayid was waiting for the guy and that it was a planned hit.

42km from Naples....

Near Mt Vesuvius, which is where the African and European tectonic plates meet.

I agree! Mr. Avellino (?) didn't know Sayid at first...just though he was a guy out on a very exclusive golf course.

No question that he knew him after Sayid introduced himself though...and he also knew he was in a heap of shizzle.

He wanted out of there and fast...Mr Avellino had SOMETHING to do with the crash/frieghties/Abbadon...whatever the case may be.
