Think back to the episode Expose in the third season. The Cobra was the villian of the show Expose "whose identity had been shrouded in mystery for four seasons". It turns out the villian was a supposed good guy that employed female associates.
So far we have only seen two of "The Economist's" employees, but they were both females. Coincidence? What do you guys think?

Good catch. I've always felt that for a seemingly throw away ep, Expose contained some significant clues about the show's plot, in particular the identity of the main baddie.

I would love for them to tie the stroy into "Expose" So many people were mad about that episode because it didn't lead to anything. But maybe the episode had more to it than we thought.

Who was the other female employee?

Who was the other female employee?
Presumably, Naomi was the other femail employee of the "Economist".
I like that idea that the Economist could end up being "The Cobra" of the series. Good catch!

Yes, I meant Naomi, I should have made that clear.

Thanks, that's what I figured, but wanted to be sure. I like this theory. I'm going to have to rewatch that episode again now.

I have completely forgotten about this. Really. Thanks for the memory nudge!

Yeah ... I still point to that Hurley quote when he picks up that script in season 3. I think it speaks volumes.
I think whoever is behind this freighter is essentially The Cobra and maybe even possibly The Economist. And I think it's someone we've seen before or know through association.

Good catch on that play within a play thing. Kind of like Prince Hamlet's "The Murder of Gonzago" he stages for Claudius and the court. So who are Rosencrantz and Guildenstern?
