what do you think is the deal with making sure to take the exact bearing to leave the Island as they got to the Island?

Faraday's apprehension seemed to stem from the 31 minute differance between time on the Island and time on/near the Freighter (aka the outside world). The rocket fired from the Freighter (30 km off the Island I believe) should have arrived on the Island in sort order, but was delayed. Whatever bearing Faraday gave Lapidus, it must present a "straight" line to the outside world that bypasses whatever interference surrounds the Island. It's probably the same bearing Ben gave Michael.

Near the end of the episode, before Frank takes off with Sayid and Desmond, Daniel tells Frank to follow the exact same path they took on the way to the island.

At the end of the sequence of the helicopter leaving the island, the copter seems to curve in a different direction and is accompanied by sinister music that seemed a little out of place to me.

They haven't explained Desmond's tie in to the freighters yet but it seems like they know something about him maybe even his flashes. The description for that episode makes it seem even more likely.

Daniel warns Frank about specific heading,
What would happen if Frank deviated from that? would they end up back on the island? a different time maybe? lol. Just thinking out load.
I wonder if that heading is the same as the one (325 degrees) that Ben gave Michael?
The opposite of that would be a in-bound heading of 145 degrees.

I didn't notice the curve, but I definately think somethings gotta go wrong there. Obviously we know it doesn't go 'too' wrong cos of the FF. I was sat just waiting for Naomi to jump up and try to push Sayid out the open door! :eek2:
