Awesome episode. I think I've decided that the flash forwards in the episode tonight were not necessarily in chronological order. Now I'm going to have to go back and watch the other eps keeping that in mind and maybe things will make a little more sense. i have to rewatch the first season because i know there are connections but that was so long ago i can't but vaguely remember. Firstly - Ben and Sayid. All the undertones of their conversations gave me the feeling that there has been some partnership in crime or whatever between ben and sayid for some time now. Sayid's flash forwards have two "groups" pitted against each other, paralleling the activities on the island, and the way he said "i'll let you know when i decide" seemed more like he was making a decision about to his future job opportunities, not who's side he's on in the little island war that they have brewing.

Sayid and his days as a spook. That's what came to mind at the beginning of the golf course scene. and up until the little jailroom scene with he and ben, i got the impression he was on one of his CIA missions, but then their entire interaction in jail gave the impression that they were already in cahoots. "what do you know about friendship?" "i know it's useless having friends you can't trust"... I it's curious that the book that led him to the secret closet was the quran.

naomi's team: naomi was concerned they weren't the right type of people for the mission - because none of them have combat training and all those good merc qualifications. they all do however seem to possess the traits of intelligence analysts. or something of the like. intel is quite vaguely defined.

the bracelet - sayid's golf buddy obviously has some connection to the boat people.

4 am now i'm just rambling hopefully not too incoherently.

bed,
