When Sayid tells Elsa(?) that she should tell he boss there is newer technology than the pager she was given, she responds something like, "He's old fashioned". Is there moe to this line?

A couple of things I thought of were the retro things in the Swan Station and Jacob feeling the same way about technology as Locke. Also when she said he very rarely comes to Berlin I thought it might be Jacob. That is why Ben is hiding in the real world; Jacob wants revenge for Ben holding him prisoner.

Just throwing things out there. Thoughts?

Very interesting theory.

I also noticed the line about him not liking technology.

Another possibility... Locke? Ben mentioned Jacob hating technology as much as Locke does.

definitely something "off" about Elsa and her boss.

is it a coincidence that we had two 30 minute time-discrepancies in the episode?

the payload, and Elsa's boss phoning later than expected

interesting but I doubt it's Jacob. He flipped out out when Locke turned on a flashlight. A a flashlight makes 20 year old beeper look like a satellite phone.
Jacob seems more like a messenger shows up and says "It's time." kind of guy.
