View Full Version : The Helicopter didnt get there.. MinnieVanMommie 02-21-2008, 10:47 PM Where is the helicopter? obviously Sayid made it back to the real world...where is the time continumium? did they move out of it? benmanrocky 02-21-2008, 10:52 PM The heli not getting there I think means he wasn't taking them to the frieghter at all, Lapidus was given orders to take them somewhere else on the island, maybee make up some excuse and land the helicopter. I think the 06 will not be getting off the island by the frieghter but by some other means, maybe with help from Ben? MinnieVanMommie 02-21-2008, 11:22 PM no i dont really think so ....when the freighter was called...they were shocked that they werent back yet....i understand they didnt know or expect them but they were going to go back to the freighter....i could be wrong... BillyLo 02-21-2008, 11:46 PM Everything is probably going as planned, it's just an issue of time. Like the rocket experiment, which was going much faster, there is a unexplainable gap/discrepancy between objects traveling to and from the island. Diesels Blitz 02-21-2008, 11:50 PM Wouldn't it be ironic if Lapidus pulled a Ben and got them off the island, only to take them to the other island (Alcatraz)? But seriously, I think the issue is time. We know Sayid makes it off the island, but what happens to Desmond? jennylee27 02-21-2008, 11:52 PM My guess is that they didn't stay on Daniel's bearing, and so they got stuck in some sort of longer time discrepancy (longer than 31 minutes). The question is, did they run out of gas because of this? MinnieVanMommie 02-21-2008, 11:54 PM could be they rn out of gas...will be an interesting epi next week....i need to watch the coming attractions again...missed it phone rang...grrr Eight 02-22-2008, 12:01 AM When that info was revealed I was thinking the copter went down. ozieozwall 02-22-2008, 12:10 AM Not Yet...Back in the good old day of serials and cliffhangers, the movie studio's always had a cliffhanger. So stay tuned till next week and see what happens..... Jedierica 02-22-2008, 01:18 AM Not Yet...Back in the good old day of serials and cliffhangers, the movie studio's always had a cliffhanger. So stay tuned till next week and see what happens..... I cannot wait for next week. Right now I am thinking that they got Lost on the way to the freighter. Twilight Zone kind of stuff keeps happening when people try to leave the Island or get to the Island. At this point anything is possible. I have not been to Dark UFO yet tonight. I have no spoiler info at all. I really hope they do not kill off Desmond. The previews tonight at the end of the episode has me worrying all week phorkster 02-22-2008, 02:13 AM The are presently Worm'holed and in hyperspace. Steve L 02-22-2008, 10:25 AM The helicopter hasnt got there.....yet. For all we know it may take days to pass back out from the island to the real world. Electromagnetic Anomoly 02-22-2008, 10:35 AM Maybe Frank could not hold the bearing in which they came in and will result in some crazy time thing. To the heli-crew it seems instantaneous, but it seems longer to everyone else. OR Regina was lying and some trouble is brewing on that freighter. wanders01 02-22-2008, 10:53 AM Maybe Frank could not hold the bearing in which they came in and will result in some crazy time thing. To the heli-crew it seems instantaneous, but it seems longer to everyone else. OR Regina was lying and some trouble is brewing on that freighter. A very good thought........maybe Des and Sayid with the help of Frank have decided to change the game plan. It would be a good reason Cassie wasn't answering the sat phone and Regina may have been giving Charlotte another "code phrase". Fierro 02-22-2008, 12:04 PM This is how I see this... The helicopter is experiencing the same 'delay' that the rocket did, but in the opposite direction. We know it is taking it a whole longer, though. Probably because it's moving at a lower speed and/or because Frank had to deviate from the 'right' bearing for some reason. In a certain way, it is like the path that takes the helicopter out of the Snowglobe is STRETCHING. For them, it might feel like they are getting nowhere, no matter how 'fast' they move. It is like those nigthmare images in which you see a door and try to run to it, but you can never make it because it seems the hall is getting longer and longer.... Again, this might be the result of the island being in some kind of 'gravitatory pit', producing all kinds of relativistic effects. Also, something very cool might happen to the helicopter... They might end up returning to the island without even realizing!!!! Now, if this happens, it might be proof that they got caught in a CTC or Closed Timelike Curve. In other words, the snowglobe effect, experienced by Desmond some time ago, and referenced by Juliet. By the way, WHY doesn't anybody question her yet?????? And something even weirder might happen if they really followed a CTC... They should not only return to the island, but to the exact same point of time they left from!!!! CTC are like loops in time AND space. So my take? They are NOT gonna make it to the Freighter. They are gonna go back to the island. Now, if this is gonna be the central plot of next episode, I feel it might become one of the coolest (and answering?) episodes EVER. heppamies 02-25-2008, 04:18 AM Frank decided to fly via pizza hut, so it takes little longer. |
