View Full Version : Claire/Aaron/Miles theory

This is just a theory me and a friend came up with after tonight's episode. So we're thinking [and keep in mind we're hoping this isn't the case] that Kate has Arron in the flashforward because sadly Claire has passed. The question is how? We're thinking that maybe Claire will go to feed Miles or something like that and he will drop the grenade, causing both of their deaths. This would also answer why Hurley is sorry he went with Locke, because if he hadn't gone with Locke, Claire likely wouldn't have either, and he would apologize to Jack specifically because Jack will no doubt learn sooner or later that Claire is his sister.

Just a theory, could very well be all sorts of wrong, and i hope it is cause i do like Claire...thoughts?

Ooo, morbid! Gawd, that's a gruesome scenario!! Yuck!

On the other hand, if Claire does blow up, she can be with Charlie again. Yay!

and grenades would have second handedly caused both of their deaths.

I like this idea, but it doesn't explain why Jack would refuse to see Aaron. I was thinking that he didn't want to see him due to doing (or doing doing) something that led to Claire's death.

Ewl no... I don't want Claire to blow up. Here's hoping she's still on that island, Danielle-esque Claire is running around plotting her revenge on Kate for stealing her baby.

I like the way she dies, but with the move from the later time slot they don't get to do anymore bloody stuff.

The helicopter only has room for a few people, and Claire throws Aaron on Kate's lap as it takes off.

Remember - Desmond had a "flash" of Claire and Aaron getting on a helicopter and getting off the island. So this has to happen, but I guess, it does not mean she has to have been alive.

This brings up some confusion, because if she got on a helicopter dead, with Aaron (and I am assuming Kate) when they got home (Clarie being one of the 2 dead Oceanic 8) someone would have to mention / say "wasn't Claire preggers?" and I think this would bring up all kinds of questions and I don't see Kate being able to avoid the DNA tests that would prove Aaron was her own and not Claire's. This is unless Claire has no remaining family.

What if she had to lie and say the baby was Sawyers (the other dead Oceanic 8), that would keep Jack away, right?

I actually don't think Claire is dead. I think they left her behind on the island for some reason. I have no idea why, but I think she's still there.

I agree. Jack's reaction to Aaron is pretty strong (will NOT go to Kate's b/c the baby is there). Is he uncomfortable b/c of the way Kate ended up with Aaron? Is it possible that Kate took the baby without Claire's permission?

I'm thinking it's something more along the lines of Aaron's 'special', in the way Brian said Walt was special. Maybe something happens and Jack freaks out just like Brian did after Susan died.

If Jack was uncomfortable around Aaron because Kate had stolen him from Claire, then surely Jack should be angry at Kate and not want anything more to do with her rather than going to grab coffee. He wouldn't take it out on a baby snatched from his real mother. IMO.

I don't think he's 'taking it out' on Aaron. I think he feels guilty for whatever happened to Claire, and he can't see the baby without...I don't know, freaking out or something.

I also believe Claire is still alive, on the island. The audience needs some sympathetic characters to root for their return to island. My money is on at least Sawyer and Claire being on the island still.
100%
Jack doesn't want to see Aaron because he's a constant reminder of the, still unkown, terrible choices and/or sacrifices they had to make to escape the island.

He may also now know that he left behind his half-sister on the island. Seems like information he would have now that everyone on that flight is known to the public.

Sorry, I worded that badly. I just meant he wouldn't 'punish' Aaron (by not seeing him) for something Kate did.

But on the other hand, I understand your point about how Jack seeing Aaron might make him emotional (heaven forfend!) if something horrid had happened to Claire.

I love all the intrigue, but at the same time I can't take it

FYI: As you seem to be a fairly new poster, this either needs to go in spoiler font or under the speculation thread. I am not upset or spoiled by anything you wrote but some people might and I wouldn't want you to get in trouble with the admins.

Welcome to the fuselage.

Perhaps, for some reason we don't know about now because this is Lost and we always don't know something, only so many people could leave the island and Claire gave up her place so Sun could go because of her baby and of course sent Aaron with Kate.

Ooh! I like that idea!! But you'd think Jack or Hurley would give up their spot for Claire, right? Maybe that wasn't an option. Still so much we don't know with how/why they get off the island.

Maybe we all got it wrong and it is Sawyers and Kates kid. And Kate just named him after Aaron who is still on the island out of respect. Thats maybe why Jacks doesn't want to see Kate's Aaron.

Maybe Claire is the one in the casket. I think for Jack to say that 2 people (essentially) died, the general public likely would need to see proof of that before believing it.

Jack may be upset due to the connection to their dad...Jack must find out about this eventually.

I've thought of that as a possibility. But that's a pretty cheap shot by the writers. It was presented as a pretty HUGE revelation to close the episode out.

So I don't think that will be the case. Definately a possibility though!

If Claire did blow up or die because she went with Locke, when Hurley apologizes to Jack, Jack wouldn't be like "It's just water under the bridge". I mean, if he knows about Claire being his half-sister, he wouldn't be so calm about it, if she indeed died.

Also, I doubt it's Claire in the coffin because she does have family. She has her aunt, and if Kate does have her Aaron, I'm sure she'd bring him to the funeral. And although I loathe Kate, I'll say that she's too honest to lie to Aaron and let him believe that Kate is his mom.

I'm sure Claire's alive on the island, fine.

Why is everyone ignoring the fact that Desmond saw Claire getting on a helicopter and OFF the island??????

"Dude, you've got some Claire on you".

I seriously hope not. My guess is that Claire lives, and re-uniting Claire with Aaron becomes somewhat of an imperative, based on what we know about Malkin.
