I apologize for digging up old details, but I can't let this go. Remember way back in S1 when Locke was trying to break into the hatch, his trebuchet-like device broke, and Boone noticed that Locke had no feeling in his legs even though he was walking on them?

Then, prior to Boone's death, Locke's couldn't walk. Then he was able to carry Boone to the cave.

Do his legs still have no feeling, or was that just a temporary condiditon? Were they numb since he landed on the island?

How does that clue fit in with the events since then?

Again, I apologize but this is bugging me.

He can feel his legs. Remember in season 2 when he got stuck under the blast door in the hatch? That seemed to have been very painful.

Oh yes, I forgot about that. So why do you think he could not feel the injury in S1? Do you remember the one I am referring to? It has been so long I forgot the details

I think he wasn't able to walk when they found the plane because if he was, he would go up in there and die. The island did that to him so Boone was the one to climb to the plane and end up dead. Of course, it's just what I think that happened. ;)

I thought he could not walk because he was losing his faith in the Island.

I think I remember the producers saying the island had an effect on his muscles in his legs. The blast door probably got him down to the bone, remember the splint. This could be an explanation to the difference.

Interesting, I didn't know the writers said that. It would be a good explanation. Locke indeed had a small fracture when the blast door hit him.
