View Full Version : No more slow seasons...now rolling too fast
Caliban2 02-28-2008, 11:18 PM Yeah. I think the unraveling of the mystery is on. I doubt we have a slow episode until the finish. This show was incredible. My mind is still reeling and can't wait to watch the details again. Faraday has become my new hero. We need to give him Kate, just cause he's so cool.

You gotta be kidding! It's not fast enough. Just keep all the answers coming, and fast!
axpo23 02-28-2008, 11:53 PM I have a feeling that after all is said and done, I am going to have to take a week and just rewatch the whole 5 seasons on DVD to understand it all. Then I'll have the "oh yeah...now it makes sense" kind of moments. lol.

I think after many rewatches i'll still be scratching my head and saying "WOW".
EvanAgee 02-29-2008, 12:02 AM I'm already looking forward to going back and re-watching all seasons in light of this new info. Bring it on!
shyguy 02-29-2008, 12:06 AM We'll still get slow episodes. There will still be several more "eggtowns."
Risky_Racer 02-29-2008, 04:48 AM We're never satisfied are we?? lol I want the season to last, but I also want to see a new ep every week!!
Now that I think about it, it makes me feel like I did when I was a kid -- time just dragging!! I  this show!
lockesmithe 02-29-2008, 05:06 AM Rolling at the right pace given where we are in the show. The beginnings of Lost hinted at the mysteries as it introduced and developed the characters. As the series progressed, deeper levels of mysteries were then introduced, but the character development, by this time, began to add little to the established characters. At this point, Lost was airing some good episodes, but the number of misses were beginning to add up. When the producers and ABC decided Lost would air only 48 more episodes, the plot could then move forward at a more reasonable pace--less time would have to be spent on what many of fans would consider "filler" because the producers no longer had to worry about running out of reveals before the show ended. That's how I see it. Your mileage may vary.
So, yes, we are moving along now at a faster pace. Again, it seems like the right pace to me. I want to see how these wonderful characters respond to the situations they will find themselves in. I want more information as well. At this pace, can anyone imagine what we'll be seeing in, say, 20 episodes time? Wow.

By then we'll probably know that the freighter 4 were never actually on the island and that Aaron will grow up to be Jacob. Dun, dun, dunnnnnnn.
This makes no sense.....so I'm probably dead on :)
JoZay 02-29-2008, 06:54 AM now things are being revealed TOO fast, slow it down babayyyy
I'm glad this epi was not a cliffhanger ending type. I didn't get the idea that things are being revealed too fast now. It just seems that way because this episode went fast and there was a conclusion at the end - Desmond & Penny finally finding each other. We're not used to something being wrapped up. There are still plenty of teasers from Day One S1 that haven't been addressed yet. Will they even be able to be tied up in the next 2 years and whats more - no more of any sort of 8 month hiatus stuff either.
