Now we see Desmond deliberately encounter Daniel in his FB and this makes Desmond Daniel's constant. I thought it would be interesting if Libby went to encounter some of these people in her FB to make them her constant when she got to the island. (my girlfriend thinks Libby has a bigger role to play) I am not sure if I communicated what I was thinking effectively. Thoughts?

I'm not sure if I agree with that theory or not yet, as I need to think about it some more, but you have effectively lit a fire of hope in this deprived Libby fan's heart. :) She certainly knew more than she was telling, and we can only hope that The Powers That Be decide to write an episode or two exploring that.

Agreed it wouldn't be as fresh if everyone had to do it. We have seen Desmond experience in time travel before so it works great with him, if everyone had to do it it would become watered down and we would all hate it.
