We saw tonight a new side of Claire....she is going to ask the questions everyone else wants to ask.....

Seems like there will be a shift in her role

I hope so. I miss the Claire of season one. Interesting, heavily involved in the show and mythology (Raised by Another) and over all we need more strong female characters.

Oh I was thrilled beyond belief to see Claire have something to do other than stand around and look pretty. LEAD THE REVOLUTION, CLAIRE!

I'm so glad that she's finally back to being an interesting character (even though I do wish that Charlie was by her side)- but Kate with Aaron worries me as to Claire's fate... :undecide:

Agreed, that was one of my favorite scenes.

I was hoping we would get some follow up and actually see Claire talk to Miles. (Would have made this episode a little more interesting, that's for sure!)

She made Locke look like an idiot..
ok, that's not hard, but I still loved it, and I hope it keeps on...

I hope she gets some more airtime, but I think the writers lost interest in her. Especially w/ out charlie. Tonight is about as much airtime as she will get.

I think we are going to start seeing more involment for Claire. Especially since Kate is going to have the baby. I really don't see Claire dying.

I think Claire was too involved with Charlie to be a strong woman before. Now she's on her own, she's showing the strong side again. Everyone greives in their own way.

I love Claire and hope to see a lot more of her... I hope she becomes the wise-mother leader type for the group and starts something great. With the FF of Kate and Aaron though, it brings new meaning to "Raised by Another" :ohwell:

LOL. I hope Claire survives on the island when separated from Aaron. It would be nice to see Emilie get some good Claire action going. She deserves it.

I know it seems like all the women on the show except Claire have brandished a gun at least once, and who would be more justified in firing a gun than a mother defending her child. I personally think Claire isn't killed she either gives Aaron to Kate to protect him or has him taken away from her forcibly.

I would argue that Claire has always been strong - she's a young, single mother on a creepy island who has bravely dealt with setting off for America to give up her baby, being in a huge crash, living in a jungle with a spooky monster thing, being kidnapped - she threw Charlie out for using - and now she's standing up to Locke. She's pretty consistently awesome, IMO.

Every once in a while Claire stops being an emotionally deficient selfish wreck, and really pulls out a move that proves she is more interested in everyone's (or at least her own) safety and rescue than any of the other Losties. Remember when she tied a rescue note to that bird? Another good example of her wanting to be proactive when everyone else is happy to be mucking about with nonsense.

I can see Claire leading the revolution...I can see Claire standing up for what is all right and good and living on the island....but....in the preview...wasnt that Claire jumping off the freighter? that scared me...if they were giving her a strong woman character role once again why would they allow her to "walk the plank" unless she knows something we dont know?...like the island will heal you if you drown and therefore Charlie is still alive and I am rambling now...or she decided to kill herself and live with charlie at the bottom of the sea ...therefore insuring that Aaron never needs to "find his real mom" as kate would be it?

Claire has her astrology background, Miles speaks to the dead. I hope this turns into a good storyline for Claire.

This is sad to say, but what I think we saw last night was the introduction to how Claire ends up not being part of Aaron's life. Out of the blue she wants to be put in this potentially dangerous situation, there's a live grenade involved, hostile little Miles, anything could happen.

Claire is one of my favorites. She is also very young and I think we are seeing her grow up this season. I didn't like her with Charlie as she just seemed whiny with him. I loved it when she stood up to Locke. And imo she was absolutely right!

I don't think she'll die either as I think in the end,Kate will realize Aaron needs to be back on the Island with Claire. Maybe while Claire is left behind, she and Sawyer will get together. ;)

ok i loved claire's scene and the fact that she was questioning ben and Locke's actions. it was great! Finally they seemed to use the character well!
In addition i thought she was particularly gorgeous in the scene.

Don't you think Claire could be the new 'HER' for Ben and that it could explain why Kate is with Aaron???? I mean she's a gorgeous blonde like Juliet so who knows...if Juliet died...

That's exactly what I think....imagine the guilt when Jack finds out he's half-uncle to the tyke.

I'm just tickled to damn death that Claire is finally getting screen time. She has so much potential for the show and I can't wait to see more. Charlie and Claire were my favorites and now that Charlie's gone, which pisses me off more everyday, seeing Claire get involved is a great thing!!!

I'm tickled too, but considering she finally got some screentime she could have something more with it. I found her acting to be dry, and maybe even out of character. Take 2, guys. Take 2.
